Willows Rustic Camping and Caravanning offers traditional camping and caravanning with a peaceful and spacious feel, in the heart of the beautiful 6000-acre Epping Forest, with direct access into the forest and its walkways. We are also surrounded by historic market towns, golf courses, fishing lakes, horse riding centres and an array of sporting activities and rural pursuits. This country retreat is remarkably located: we are a peaceful place for a country getaway, but have easy access to central London with a Central Line tube station just three miles away. On site facilities include mains drinking water, mains toilets, showers, sinks with hot and cold water, electric and a washing machine.

Route directions

By car From the M25, come off at junction 26 (signposted Loughton and Waltham Abbey). Take the A121 (Dowding Way) to Chingford and Waltham Cross. Take the first exit at the roundabout onto the A112 (Sewardstone Road) to Chingford, E4. Take the second turning on the left (about a mile and a half away) into Mott Street by the Plough Pub. Take the first turning on the right into Lippitts Hill. Willows Rustic Camping and Caravanning is at the top off the hill on the left, behind the small green next to the Elms caravan site. Please note: From junction 26 do not follow the signs to Loughton as we are the village of High Beech. By tube/underground: The closest underground station to Willows Rustic Camping and Caravanning is three miles away at Loughton, postcode IG10, which is on the Central Line and takes you straight into/from London. A taxi from Loughton station to Willows costs approximately £6. By bus: The closest bus stop to Willows Rustic Camping and Caravanning is one mile down the lane at Sewardstone Road, E4, close to the Plough Pub. The number 215 services Walthamstow Central Underground Station, and the 379 and 505 run from Chingford to the shires.

Local amenities include horse riding centres, fishing lakes, golf courses, 6000 acres of forest walks and rides, the Olympic whitewater rafting centre and the local pub, The Owl. Local attractions include Dick Turpin's cave, the Queen Elizabeth Hunting Lodge, Butlers Retreat, Chingford Planes, Connaught Waters, Waltham Abbey and Lea Valley river and parks. With Loughton underground station just three miles away on the Central Line, all London's sights are within easy reach. We are also well connected to the motorway network with the M11 and M25 motorways just a five-minute drive away. Stanstead, Gatwick and Heathrow Airports are easily accessible, as are the ports of Dover and Dartford.
