Chill out at Wayfaring Down Farm, a family-friendly site that’s part of an organic farm in the South Downs National Park. Hugging the lower slopes of the national park and 20 minutes’ drive from Eastbourne, this site is a wildlife haven (free from pesticides and herbicides) with birdsong in the background, wildflowers growing and rabbits, foxes, badgers and deer often passing through. As a leave-no-trace site, you will need to take any rubbish away with you when you leave to ensure that the wildlife is left undisturbed. Wayfaring Down Farm has a pretty spacious place to unwind with fields, a vegetable garden and a car park for your car; cars are not permitted in the camping field, so wheelbarrows are provided for you to cart your things to your pitch. Once you’re in, you may want to leave the car behind for a bit, as there are plenty of walks that can be accessed directly from the site. Or, if you’ve got a sudden desire for the salt and sand, the car may come in handy, as there are several beaches within reach, including Eastbourne beach (20 minutes’ drive), Cuckmere Haven (25 minutes) and Seaford beach (20 minutes). You may want to plan a stop at one of several supermarkets five minutes’ drive away from the site, or perhaps pay a visit to one of the local watering holes (there are several pubs within five minutes’ drive of the site too). In the evenings, wind down with a campfire or a barbecue (so long as it’s raised off the ground). The site sells wood bags containing wood, kindling, cardboard and lighters so that you can get it rolling.

Reception is unmanned after 6 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
Guests must bring their own duvets, pillows, sheets and towels when staying in rental accommodation. You will not be allowed to stay if you do not bring these items.
Minimum spacing of 10 metres between pitches.
If making a fire, the fuel, logs and coal have to be purchased on site.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
No naked flames are allowed inside the hired accommodation units.
Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.
There are no bins onsite: all rubbish will need to be taken home with you.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 2 day(s) of arrival.

Extras

Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
Refunds within the indicated cancellation period are only possible if the site is able to relet your unit/pitch.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
There are no bins onsite: all rubbish will need to be taken home with you.
The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.
