What customers say
This eco-friendly campsite offers a peaceful escape nestled in the South Downs. Visitors praise the stunning natural surroundings, spacious, private pitches, and friendly, helpful hosts. Facilities are basic but clean, with composting toilets and simple showers. The proximity to a charming local pub and access to scenic walks are highlighted. Some guests noted strong winds due to the exposed location and occasional issues with compost toilet height or shower maintenance. A sauna and Saturday market are popular additions.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Stunning surroundings. Campsite had a really lovely unfussy feel about it. Individual pitches were generous and felt quite private. Facilities matched my expectation for an eco campsite and were totally fine. Sauna on Saturday with Charlie was really well hosted. Close to a nearby pub and a short walk from Lewes. Can't recommend it enough.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Loved the ethos of this place. The wildflower meadow left unmowed with minimal number of tent pitches carved out like crop circles is lovely, and provides a good amount of privacy too. The sauna and plunge pool were perfect for a rainy day
Disliked The site is quite exposed and the wind blowing in off the hills is very strong. Could do with a few more trees to provide shelter for campers.

I’d like to come back for a longer stay and really blend in.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Venue & location were great. Pitch circles are a great idea to separate.
Friendly and so much more I didn’t get to experience.
Disliked Weather - of course not your fault.
I never did find the showers.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Lovely, spaced out pitches with winding paths. Facilities were simple but clean. Nice pub and playground are only a few minutes walk and the on-site café was great on Sat morning. Best bits according to the 5yo were the fire pit, the friendly cats and the pastries.

Lovely friendly camp. Peaceful with great views and close to pub.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Lovely surroundings in a friendly environment. Not crowded with nice space and sense of privacy for tents. Beautiful views, peaceful and quiet. Decent shower lovely and warm with lots of space. Coffee and pastries at the on site cafe on Saturday morning and literally 2 minutes to the Juggs pub across the road which serves really good food and has a lovely garden. Very close to Lewes also.
Disliked The compost loos were clean but quite full when we visited which was a little bit off putting and would have loved some hot water at the washing up station.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Beautiful, eco-friendly, friendly, tucked away, easy to get to by bus, secluded, community-feel, farm shop, flexible, growing fresh veg, etc, little beehive, growing pretty flowers, quirky shower, easy access to downs, close to beautiful old pub
Disliked Only one sauna session on one day and it was fully booked, we were looking forward to using it

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked The Lovebrook staff are amazing, warm, friendly and welcoming. The Saturday activities were so lovely and affordable - especially the flower picking and arranging workshop. They've done a beautiful job of keeping everything rural. Great size of pitch and stunning setting. No internet signal which was fab.
