  • Peaceful family-run park on manor estate with fishing and horse riding
  • Cuckoo Trail walking and cycling two minutes' drive away
  • Additional toilet block with disabled room and underfloor heating
What a handsome site – and what a handy location. Have yourself a holiday at Horam Manor Country Park in East Sussex for a peaceful and roomy setting as well as proximity to walking and biking paths, fishing, horse riding, tennis and golf – and quite a bit more on and off site. A family-run and friendly park on a manor estate, Horam Manor is only a couple of minutes by car from the Cuckoo Trail, the scenic 14-mile path trail along the old Cuckoo Line railway track from Heathfield to Eastbourne Park. Previous guests have esteemed this site most highly for the friendly and helpful approach of its family team, its modern and immaculately kept amenities, and its range of activities and leisure facilities for guests young and old. Fishing, woodland walks, nature trails and horse riding are available around the estate; and play areas are on site and in the adjacent village. The friendly welcome extends to family friends too, with a dog walking area close by and a dog shower and dog water bowls thoughtfully added around the grounds. As you might expect, the amenities are also excellently thought out: there are two toilet blocks (one of which has underfloor heating), spacious showers, private wash cubicles and a fully equipped disabled room. A laundry room with a washing machine and a tumble dryer, both coin-operated, is also available to guests. Fires of any kind are not permitted, but barbecues are welcome as long as they're kept off the grass (the site supplies bricks just for this purpose). The park has a small grocery shop selling basics such as milk, sweets, ice creams and drinks; it also stocks local produce such as jams. More shops and a pub are in Horam, a few minutes' stroll away. And if you're here for the seaside, beaches at Eastbourne and Lewes are within half an hour; Brighton is within 45 minutes and famed seaside towns such as Rye and Hastings are 30 to 45 minutes from the site. Local buses serve all major towns in the area.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Very welcoming staff upon arrival, gave a good detailed description regarding where our pitch was. Pitch was well maintained with easy electric access, also sectioned off nicely so you don’t go onto someone else’s pitch. Facilities were clean, staff cleaned daily. Showers onsite which are also clean. Would come back and visit again, will recommend to others.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Had to stop over somewhere as daughter had a cricket match at Sussex university early in the morning and didn’t fancy the Dartford battle. Met at 19:30 after reception had closed by a friendly gent who helped us find a pitch and explained the site perfectly.
Showers are great; hot constant and a good area to get ready away from the shower.
Good recycling area, bins and even a small dog shower station.

Disliked Nothing.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Amazing place, staff superb. Had borrowed a friend’s camper van (again) as my boys love it.
The staff, the facilities, faultless.
The staff seem so genuine and happy to help. The lady that checked us in was so friendly and then a guy came round in the evening to check how everyone is doing and if they needed anything.
Customer service absolutely top notch.
Unfortunately we were only there for one night but would absolutely love to stay longer, next time.

Disliked Nothing.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Shower/toilet facilities are very clean and well kept
Staff were very friendly and tentative

Disliked Deposit of £5 cash required for the disabled toilet

Site makes it look like there is a play park for children, the play park is actually off site, few minutes walk up the road.

From the manager: Hi Alisha. Thank you for your review. We value them all. Unfortunately, we have had issues with guests leaving site with the key to the Family room and abusing the facility hence the deposit charge. Thanks again. T&D and the Team
