Electric optional grass and earth tent, touring caravan or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Nice clean site. Spacious and flat pitch. Handy café. Clean showers with fixed water temperature which suited me perfectly. Very peaceful during the day and early evening. A pleasure to be there.

Disliked: Very very noisy at night with lots of teens running around shouting and lots of younger ones constantly screaming. Not the site's fault but hard to make a complaint when it's pitch black and you can't see who it is. Be a good idea to have a member of staff onsite when there are lots of youngsters booked to stop the feral behaviour.

Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: Everything! Wonderful site. Good shower facilities. All the other campers were great. Big space for kids to play. Great play park for kids. Didn’t use the cafe but great addition. Lovely location.

Disliked: That the cafe was open for breakfast from 9am which I think was a little late for us. Would have definitely used it if it was open earlier. Need to fix every lock on the wash basin cubicles as all of them were broken off. Shower facilities could have been cleaner.

Electric optional grass and earth tent, touring caravan or trailer tent pitch

Liked: The Pitch was spacious. The site itself was very nice.

Disliked: Entrance gate to the campsite was open all the time. We were given the gate code but never needed it as it was permanently open. The chemical toilet emptying place was blocked.

Electric optional grass and earth tent, touring caravan or trailer tent pitch

Liked: The campsite itself is lovely, great layout ,park for the kids ,close to beach ,and other stuff We have been every year multiple times for the last 5 years

Disliked: The campsite is now under new management ,from our 5 night stay we can tell it has dramatically gone down hill ,staff were judgemental,we went as a family with mixed range of children's ages ,with 3 on the spectrum ,and the accusations thrown at the children was disgusting , ,the toilet /shower block were constantly dirty , Children were not allowed to walk around with torches at night, Constant loud music partying from the cabins behind the tent pitches , Shop and cafe prices were extreme ,with very little produce anyway , Our disabled mum stayed in one of the pods , And the door would not lock or shut properly we phoned them out of hours the first night and told them ,we were told to do it ourselves ,which we tried but didn't have the right tools to adjust everything , This still hadn't been sorted when we left ,

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch (super)

Liked: Very 'average' site. Needs a bit of attention.I was told it has new owners, not sure if that's accurate though. If so, I think they have some work to do to freshen it up.

Disliked: Lack of gate security. Gates appeared to be wide open each time we went out/returned. We were given a gate code when booking but never needed it. People allowed to leave at early hours (usually a 'not before 7am' limit, to avoid disrupting other holidaymakers) we had people banging car doors and leaving at 4am! There is no 'hardstanding' despite being giving this option at booking. All pitches are grass. Elsan area was overflowing one day. I told reception and they knew about it. I was told "someone will deal with this at some point today, not sure when" - No other Elsan point on site!

To explore more about how the Normans took over all those years ago, trot along to the English Heritage 1066 Battle of Hastings, Abbey and Battlefield attraction five miles or so away, set at the abbey built on the battlefield in its bloody aftermath.
