What customers say
This is a family-friendly, rural campsite with friendly and helpful staff, praised for its location and relaxed atmosphere. Facilities are described as basic but functional, with ongoing improvements noted. Some guests highlighted issues with cleanliness and the need for refurbishment of toilet and shower blocks, though newer reviews suggest improvements. Entertainment and events, including a bar and food, are appreciated, particularly during busy periods. The site offers a rustic camping experience with plenty of space and a good base for exploring the local area.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recomment.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Location of the campsite was really idylic with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The orchard was a nice surprise. Campsite was very well organised and layed out with easy access to facilities.
Disliked We tried to get a firepit on Friday evening but there weren't any left.
Some of the toilet block facilities were lacking. I.e. hand drier, bin, paper towels

Great for one night
Electric hardstanding and grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Good communication via WhatsApp. Basic campsite but with everything you need, although I didn’t try the one shower available. The communal Saloon looked great but sadly there was nothing on during our stay.
Disliked The site could do with some TLC. It has lots of potential but sadly a lot of the areas cannot be used as they are so overgrown and neglected.

I would camp again here but I would try and book the orchard.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked The family field we had was lovely and only us and one other tent when we arrived, saw the cows straight away and love the look of the bar area that’s sometimes open for functions and party nights. Great communication prior to arrival. Toilets basic and clean and functional. We booked this site as classed as a small site and thought it would be quiet.
Disliked The site Would have been great but then 2 lots of 3 families turned up. So big groups. Music and alcohol straight away. One lady kept screaming at her kids to be quiet. The kids were just playing nicely. sadly I could not listen to the screaming we don’t live far so we packed up and left not the fault of the site. Just unfortunate timing

Will definitely be back, with a more robust tent.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Mine and my partners first camping trip, and not the last. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and would/will stay again. The facilities are more than adequate for what you get and although we didn't use the fire pits we liked the idea of them being available.
Disliked Our own tent 😂
As it was our first camping trip we bought a cheap and cheerful tent. The problem with it was there was no ventilation and we were dripping in condensation.

Nice campsite
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Lovely campsite, with good facilities & staff members were really friendly.
Pitch was exactly as expected & the notification from the team showed exactly which pitch I was designated before arrival, so no messing around trying to locate it.
Was really peaceful, even though clearly busy.
A nice touch was the freshly cooked pizza night on Saturday, unfortunately it was that welcome/good, they had sold out before 5:30pm 😀
Disliked The lady (Pitch B6) who didn't follow the rules about having her dogs on lead, which then attacked my dog as we walked past! I then witnessed them attack a second dog later!
I did report this to the girl who was in charge, but I don't think she actually spoke to the lady about her dogs.

I would stay again!
Electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch (small)
Liked Great for small stop overs! The barn with live entertainment, bar etc, I thought was really good! quaint palleted seating area outside the barn with lights. friendly atmosphere with friendly staff
Disliked There was only 2 negative things I would change at this site, one would be to make the urinals more private in the unisex toilets, maybe a door and I would like to see showers have an upgrade and maybe be situated inside the barn somewhere.
