  • Family-friendly caravan park 15 minutes' drive from Blackpool
  • Beacon Fell Country Park 40 minutes' drive; Lytham St Annes 20 minutes
  • Clean and well-maintained facilities with outdoor playground
In the centre of Weeton village in Lancashire countryside, Ream Hills Caravan Park may be surrounded by 160 acres of farmland but it’s only 15 minutes’ drive to the lights and attractions of Blackpool, and 20 minutes to the sandy beaches of Lytham St Annes. It’s a wow of a location for your next family holiday. This Blackpool holiday park also overlooks a large spring-fed lake, which is shared with the local wildlife – as well as swans and ducks, keep your eye out for Ronnie the Ream Hills otter, who provides guests with much entertainment with his antics. Ream Hills is in a rural location but close enough to the M55 to easily reach Blackpool and many other bright north-west attractions; it has two camping/caravan fields and a tent field for canvas campers. Wifi access is available throughout. Each field has an amenities building: one with a new block with loos, basins, free hot showers, laundry room and dishwashing room, and the other with a second block providing more loos and free hot showers as well as another dishwashing area. Fresh water points, a chemical waste disposal point and an outdoor playground are also close to hand. Dogs are welcome at Ream Hills, but please note they're not allowed in some areas of the park.

What customers say

This is a beautiful, clean, and well-maintained park with excellent facilities, including clean toilets and showers. Guests frequently praise the friendly and helpful staff, spacious pitches, and convenient location for visiting Blackpool. On-site amenities like Finns Cafe/Bar and water sports are popular. While most reviews are highly positive, some mention Wi-Fi issues, occasional noise from the nearby motorway, and concerns about gravel pitches and road surfaces. One review highlighted a serious incident involving loose dogs, though the manager stated the allegations were not reported during the stay and emphasized safety protocols.

Disliked Arrived at 2pm for a 2 day stay. Ended up leaving at 10pm due to loose dogs roaming free making it unsafe to take my dogs out. My dogs were on my pitch on leads as per site rules when two free roaming dogs approached, pulled my partner to the ground and injured her. Reception closed, no out of hours contact number on issued paperwork. Owner of dogs not one bit bothered no apology. At 9.30pm the same night we hitched up and left. Pitch also wasnt big enough to erect awning that we paid extra for. All in all a very disappointing start to our first stay here. Staff are not interested, said they will not be refunding any of the £110 and told us to take it up with the police not them. If you are looking at here i would sooner recommend Marton Mere up the road.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback.

We are disappointed to read your review, particularly as the serious allegations made were not reported to any member of our team during your stay, giving us no opportunity to investigate, assist or address the situation at the time.

You state that there was no out-of-hours contact number available. This is incorrect. Our emergency telephone number is clearly displayed in bold within the welcome pack that was handed to you on arrival, is displayed on four separate signs around the amenities building, and is also displayed on the front door of Reception.

At no point during your stay did you contact any member of our team to report the incident or request assistance. Therefore, your statement that our staff were "not interested" is completely inaccurate. Had we been made aware of the situation, we would have acted immediately and done everything we could to assist.

The safety and wellbeing of our guests is extremely important to us. We encourage all guests to report any concerns as soon as they arise so that we have the opportunity to investigate and resolve them promptly.

Whilst we are sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations, we do not believe this review accurately reflects either the events that occurred or the level of service provided by our team.

Liked Lovely spacious pitch, lovely lady welcomed me in. Lots to do and see, great for families.

Disliked Didn’t affect me, but wifi was shocking as were our phone signals, hubby needed to work but couldn’t log on. It the fault of site but perhaps mention that wifi signal hit and miss if it hasn’t already been mentioned.

Local attractions

Blackpool's Golden Mile, Blackpool Tower, beaches, Pleasure Beach theme park, shows and illuminations are within 15 minutes' drive of Ream Hills Caravan Park. The Blackpool Tower Dungeon, tower ballroom, tower circus, Madame Tussauds and indoor play area are also popular spots: best to plan at least a couple of days in town… For sand and sea, Blackpool Beach is the busiest in the area; Bispham Beach is dog friendly, and (Lytham) St Anne's is a quieter and splendidly scenic spot with a long stretch of sand, dunes, donkey rides and bright beach huts. If you only have a couple of days to spare after the bright lights of Blackpool, spend one in Beacon Fell Country Park, 266 metres above sea level and covering 185 acres of conifer woods and moorland; it has six car parks, a café, viewpoints, forest walks and plentiful places for picnics. For another day out a bit further afield, walkers, mountain bikers, picnickers, anglers and wildlife watchers can head to the Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty covering 312 square miles and part of the hilly Pennine range.
