  • Family-run touring park on the Fylde coast
  • Modern amenities suitable for families and disabled guests
  • On the edge of Freckleton, 25 minutes' drive from Blackpool
You'll be in a most convenient countryside and seaside setting when you trot along to Donkey Creek Farm Caravan Site. Countryside – and wanders: this pretty rural place is on the outskirts of the Lancashire town of Freckleton and on the edge of the Lancashire Coastal Way meandering for 137 miles between Merseyside and Cumbria. Seaside: Donkey Creek is on the Fylde coast, eight and a half miles from Lytham, its sands and those four golf courses. Your nifty setting is 25 minutes' drive from the illuminating lights of Blackpool for amusements and shows, and 15 minutes from Preston for pubs and grub. Those who must have their hols served up with sparkling amenities are also well sorted here; Donkey Creek's essentials are of the thoroughly modern sort and include plenty to keep guests of all types comfortable. The bright amenities block has underfloor heating, a family bathroom and a disabled-access bathroom with walk-in shower alongside the well-kept toilets and showers; there's a laundry room for ease of cleaning sandy togs, and a veg prep room with freezer facility is also to hand for guests' use. A selection of groceries and camping/touring kit is at the site shop; for other bits, Freckleton village centre is 15 minutes' walk away.

What customers say

This well-maintained campsite receives consistent praise for its cleanliness, spacious pitches, and exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Facilities, including toilets and showers, are frequently described as immaculate and modern. Its convenient location within walking distance of a village with pubs and shops is a significant advantage. While most visitors have no dislikes, occasional noise from a nearby airfield and road is noted, though generally not considered disruptive. The dog field has received mixed feedback regarding its security and the presence of chickens.

Fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked 2nd visit to this site pitch’s again clean and enough room.
Site was busy but well organised staff friendly and always willing to help.

Disliked Not really a dislike but they had some major work going on with the pod no problem with that it has to be done, what I do object to is the digger driver sat in his cab with no idea what was he was doing as I carried on to site for him to start shout waving his hands and shaken his head. Someone should have been looking after the traffic on/off the site. I would have had no problem waiting so he could do what he needed.

Fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Site well maintained
Water tap on each pitch
Big motorhome service area for dropping grey water
Reception staff pleasant on arrival
Big field to walk dogs on lead

Disliked Our only dislike and one which stops us returning is the chicken house which is sited in the secure dog field. It's a great field but our dogs were too interested in the chickens to use the field as it is intended. I can't imagine whoever thought it was a good idea. So unfortunately the site is a no from us from returning.

From the manager: We appreciate your concerns and thoughts.
I want to reassure you that we have had no issues with our chicken house, or chickens coexisting with our visitors dogs.
The chickens are safe and actually enjoy the presence of our furry visitors, helping to create a unique and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone

Fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Spacious pitches and well maintained. The toilet block is very clean and well stocked with toilet paper, there is a shop and also laundery room and prep room.
Wifi was very good. We would come back again.

Disliked Came on a Sunday for one night and tried to use my radar key for disabled toilets but it did not fit.I looked on the leaflet for info in case if you have to ask for a key or something but no info about it. I have used my key in lots of disabled toilets before so it works so their key must be different. I can use the other toilets so I did with no problems but wanted to make this aware for people who can't use normal toilets.
