The park is approximately 9 miles from the M6 motorway, Junction 34. From here it should take you about 20 minutes.
Leave the motorway at Junction 34 and head towards Lancaster along Caton Road on the A683. After about 2 miles you will come to a major set of traffic lights with a big brown building right in front of you. Move into the righthand lane as you approach the traffic lights. Stay in the righthand lane and follow the one-way system round until you come to the next set of lights (car wash to your right). Keep in the righthand lane and go through these lights and the next lights which are immediately after. Filter into the lefthand lane and follow the signs for Heysham and Morecambe along Morecambe Road, the A589. After about a mile you will come to a large roundabout. Go straight across then turn left at the next roundabout onto the A683 dual carriageway heading towards Middleton and Overton. Go straight on the A683 dual carriageway for about 3 miles until you come to a large roundabout and turn left onto Middleton Road, heading towards Middleton (signposted Middleton Industrial Estate). Follow Middleton Road for about a mile and half until you see a small chapel on a bend. On the bend take the right turn onto Carr Lane following signs for Middleton Sands. Keep going on Carr Lane, take two sharp bends left, then right; carry on for about 100 yards then turn left at the sign for Greendales Farm and Bowland View Caravan Park at the top of the lane. Turn left and park up then call at the house. You are now at Greendales Farm Caravan Park (if you miss the site you will find a large static caravan park - this is not Greendales so please turn around and retrace your steps).
Note that when the satnav says you have reached your destination, turn left as instructed and Greendales Farm Caravan Park is on your left.
Local attractions
Greendales Farm is a mile from the nearest beach, sandy Half Moon Bay at Heysham: take the dog here for a run on the sands at low tide then stop off for sausages or a bacon barm at the local café. The beaches, shops, pubs and restaurants of Morecambe are just over three miles away.
Also within a short drive are plenty of quiet walks, dog kennels if needed and Heysham village and its two country pubs dishing up top-notch food. Climbing and caving are easily reachable in the Yorkshire Dales or Lake District national parks.
For a city day out, Lancaster is just over five miles away: head here for the day to see the maritime museum, cathedral and Lancaster Castle, or to spend some holiday funds in the many shops and stalls in Market Gate and Lancaster Leisure Park.
