What customers say
This campsite offers spacious, quiet pitches with lovely rural views and opportunities to spot deer. Guests appreciate the proximity to local amenities, canal-side walks, and woodland parks, making it ideal for dog owners. While pitches are on a slope and require ramps, and some areas have been noted for overgrown grass, management states black and grey water disposal is available at the site entrance and bottom of the field. Efforts to address weed issues have been initiated.

Drinking water available and cassette toilet…
Non-electric gravel motorhome pitch (members only)
Liked Drinking water available and cassette toilet disposal facility only. Lovely to watch deer at the bottom of the field and grey squirrels. We came here as it was the closest we could get to Bolton to enable a relative to visit us. Nice local tea shops, grocery store and lovely woods just over 1m away for walking in.
Disliked All pitches are on a slope and require ramps. The pitches are in need of some tlc, with very overgrown grass between and on the gravel. No black water disposal facility and grey waste water can be dumped by bucket in the ditch at the bottom of the field. There is some road noise, but not too bad. With a 9m motorhome, care needs to be taken not to bottom out when accessing the site from the road.

From the manager: Thanks for the feedback. The pitches are advertised as needing ramps. The black water and grey waste water can be disposed of at the chemical disposal point at the site entrance as well as the bottom of the field. The site has had large campers with no issues so far, the entrance is shown in the pictures. The site is advertised with basic facilities and this is reflected in the price. The gardening company is due this week to work on the weeds, (we have been advised to let them get a bit larger before treatment). We allowed the grass to grow between the pitches for privacy, with the main areas being cut regularly.
Perfect for an overnight stay and there is a pub down the road

Lovely site .Had a great time .
Non-electric gravel motorhome pitch (members only)
Liked Lovely campsite . Large pitches . Deer in the next door field . Short walk down to the Liverpool / Leeds canal , which is great for dog walking alongside the canal . Walking down in the opposite direction you reach a woodland park / lake , so my dog Rowan was spoilt for the choice of local dog walks.Chloe , the owner is very helpful and gave advice about local pubs, walks etc . We will definitely be back .
