What customers say
This is a friendly, well-kept campsite with excellent M6 access and lovely views, ideal for stopovers and exploring the Lake District. Guests appreciated the readily available electric hook-up and water at pitches, along with spacious fields for children and dogs. While there are no on-site toilet or shower facilities, this is noted as expected for campervan stays. Some guests mentioned noise from a nearby train line and road, though many found it not intrusive. Owners are consistently described as very friendly and helpful.

Excellent tourer site and great value for money
Electric grass pitch
Liked Excellent touring caravan pitch, only 1.5m off the M6. very easy to commute in that area while we did our 4 night stay. very friendly owners, good facilities. also big field on site for dog toilet break, and also we utilised the dog training field for £5 an hour to give our 2 working german shepherds some good exercise and using some of their equipment / activity stations (albeit still under construction but has loads of potential, especially that they are running boarding kennels also). highly recommended and would come back as totally value for money. 10/10
Disliked no rubbish disposal facility, but its ok. just to make others aware we took a bin bag from 4 nights home and disposed of at local recycling tip.

Overall a perfectly lovely stay for our one night stopover for a kip.
Electric grass pitch
Liked Beautiful views, nice village, straight off the motorway so absolute perfect for us for a one night stopover to break up a long trip. Gentlemen owner was very friendly and easy going. Electric hookup available with fresh water tap directly next to it so not having to walk across the field to get to the water like some others was convenient.
Disliked I read reviews previously about the noise from the motorway and was a tad worried as we were in a tent but i didn’t think it was actually that bad. The train track is quite close though which was a bit nosier up until the trains stopped running but not an issue for us on this occasion.

Great walk to the reservoir nearby and close to the village
Electric grass pitch
Liked Lovely well kept little site. Owners were friendly and we chose where to pitch which was perfect as we had beautiful views with a lovely sunset. You are close to a road and train line but this did not bother us and certainly was not intrusive, in fact we enjoyed the sound of the train going by. Great little site.
Disliked Obviously no toilet block but we knew this when we booked so no complaint.
