What customers say
This is a basic, back-to-basics campsite with exceptional portaloos, praised for their cleanliness. Guests frequently highlight the friendly and helpful owner, Tim, and the site's picturesque location, close to Coniston Water and local pubs. The spacious, open field allows flexible pitching, and thoughtful touches include buckets of toys and fire pits. While some found noise an issue on weekends, and a few noted the basic nature of the facilities (no showers), the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many recommending it for its value and peaceful atmosphere.

Great value and well maintained.
Non-electric grass and earth motorhome pitch
Liked Great value with views and excellent location for exploring the lakes.
Open field to setup where ever you want. Free fire pit and toilets were portable toilets that worried us but the owner visited every couple of hours to keep immaculate. Any road noise subsided early on to make it nice and peaceful.
A great site.

Perfect back to basics site. Ideal for D of E.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Immaculately clean toilets & washing up area. Clearly labelled drinking water. Easy to pitch tents (not rock underneath a thin layer of grass like some Lake District sites). Excellent and helpful communication from the owners.
We loved it but this is a basic site - clean toilets, sink for washing up drinking water & that's it. Perfect for what we needed!

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked really good location , toilets and sink was really clean. Really nice service from owner.
Disliked The only thing I would tell people which isn't to do with the campsite but the location is that there is very little transport available and there aren't really any shops near by so make sure to book at the pub or bring plenty of food to eat.
