From the manager: We're pleased to hear you found our staff friendly — that's something we're proud of.
We did look carefully into the possibility of adding an onsite food shop, but after assessing the need, we've decided it isn't something we'll be introducing. With several shops and supermarkets located as little as 0.5 miles from the site, we feel our guests are well served for everyday essentials and groceries, and we'd prefer to keep our focus on the facilities and experiences that matter most to our visitors.
Not a good stay at all.

Liked Large showers
Disliked Tight pitches on Rydal. Poor road surface, large pothole on the pitch. Vans on neighbouring pitches playing loud music, being noisy till 1am, kids using the tap on our pitch, running around throwing bottles of water at each other. Neighbours leaving out food and a used bbq overnight for the Seagulls to fight over early in the morning. Loose dog running around.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent stay on Rydal pitch. We're sorry to hear that your experience didn't meet expectations, and we appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention.
We do want to note that none of these issues were raised with our team during your stay. Had we been made aware at the time — particularly the noise disturbance until 1am, the loose dog, or the children using the tap on your pitch — we would have been able to step in immediately to resolve them. Our on-site team is available around the clock, and we always encourage guests to contact us directly so we can address concerns as they arise, rather than after departure.
That said, we take your comments seriously:
Tight pitches on Rydal — we will review the spacing and layout of this area to see what improvements can be made.
Road surface and pothole — we have logged the pothole for repair and are assessing the wider road condition in this section.
Noise from neighbouring vans until 1am — we enforce a quiet-hours policy and would have intervened had this been reported.
Children using the tap on your pitch and throwing water bottles — we're sorry this happened; our team would have addressed this promptly if notified.
Food and BBQ left out overnight attracting seagulls — we encourage guests to secure food and extinguish BBQs, and we'll be reminding all guests of this.
Loose dog — we ask that all dogs be kept on leads, and we'll be reinforcing this with guests.
We're genuinely sorry these points spoiled part of your visit, and we hope you'll give us the chance to put things right on a future stay. Please feel free to contact us directly at email/phone if you'd like to discuss this further.

Liked Really very impressed.
Despite it being a large site we found our pitch size to be perfect.
Even though it is usually a very busy month, the site was quiet.
The toilets and showers were excellent.
We will definitely return later in the year.

Lovely quieter site ideal base for exploring the lakes
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Quiet, well maintained, clean, spacious, receptionist very welcoming, great base spot for visiting several lakes locations.
Disliked Only small niggle - the lights sensor in the small shower block didn’t always work, bit hit and miss if they would come on or not.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. I will pass on the comment regarding the sensors to the maintenance team. We look forward to welcoming you back to Bardsea Leisure.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Setting and location. Friendly helpful staff.
Disliked Toilet block configuration. All facilities were family rooms and often a queue to use them. No motorhome water disposal area although pitches were serviced pitches. Satellite connection not working on our pitch and staff were unable to get us a signal. Pick was small for our 7m van. Pitches very close together. Services outlet falling apart although just about functional. Poor road surfaces and lack of any road markings.
