This is a well-maintained and clean campsite with a beautiful location, offering easy access to Pooley Bridge and the Lake District. Visitors praised the friendly staff, spacious pitches, and excellent facilities, including spotless shower blocks and a useful on-site shop. Some reviews noted that Wi-Fi and mobile signal can be poor, and a few mentioned that the toilet/shower blocks could benefit from updating. Liked We were here whilst the site was quiet, which suits us. Friendly reception on arrival clean well organised site, with super clean facilities. 15-20 minutes walk along the banks of ullswater to pooley bridge for good food and drinks.

On site bar very nice with a decent view to Ullswater.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (maximum 8 metres)
Liked Very clean and tidy site whilst still maintaining a rustic feel amongst all the trees. Toilets, showers and dog washing facilities very clean and well kept.
Lots of walks and trails from the site with Pooley Bridge within a comfortable and scenic walking distance.
Disliked Nothing we disliked. Despite TV reception being poor there is TV points on each pitch which work really well.

Great touring pitches with EHU and…
Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (maximum 8 metres)
Liked Great touring pitches with EHU and water supply on each. The facilities we used (toilets, showers, washing up area) were spotlessly clean and we coudn't find any faults with them. The bar in the mansion house was well stocked but could perhaps do with some comfier seating, perhaps sofas, just for that extra bit of comfort.
We have a no screen policy in our van but those looking for wi-fi should note it's free in the bar area but you need to pay in the touring area. Many campsites we frequent offer this free so it's worth factoring in if you need connection during your stay.
With only a 15 minute walk into Pooley Bridge this site is perfect for a base to explore The Lakes and at only 5 miles from the M6 it's very accessible.
Disliked Nothing at all.

Great site, very clean, very well resourced.
Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (maximum 8 metres)
Liked Lovely site. Toilet/shower block was warm and spotless. Nice pitches, plenty of room. 15 minute walk into Pooley bridge, right on the Ullswater way. Perfect! They even had a chippy van call on Saturday night. Excellent washing up and laundry facilities.
Disliked Very little to be honest. The shop closes at 5, although you can easily walk into Pooley Bridge for food and shopping.

Great location, clean and tidy, great facilities. 5*
Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (maximum 8 metres)
Liked The site was great, it was in a good location easily accessible from the M6. It was clean and tidy with a shop and bar on site. It also had a kids play area with great views of ullswater. Pooley bridge was a short walk away and keswick a 25min drive. Communication from the site was fantastic and they went over and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. The pitch offered electric, your own water supply and a tv antena link up. Super fast wifi is also available at an extra cost. Would highly recommend this site.
Disliked Not that I disliked anything but mansion house was a fantastic building and it would of been great to know more about its history and how it got to where it is now.
