What customers say
This is a well-maintained and clean campsite with excellent facilities, particularly the modern shower and toilet blocks. Guests consistently praise the friendly and helpful staff, the beautiful location with stunning views, and the convenient on-site shop and popular fish and chip shop. Spacious pitches and a good playground for children are also highlights. While some visitors noted occasional Wi-Fi issues and noise, particularly near the play area during peak times, the overall experience is highly positive, with many expressing a strong desire to return.

Liked Facilities, location and cleanliness were excellent. Bus stop at the end of the road was very convenient. Hopper bus at weekends from site are very useful. Great scenery.
Disliked Buses only run every 2 hours during the week in the winter. TV reception not good, did not realise we should have bought a TV aerial cable with us.

From the manager: Thank you so much for your feedback — it’s great to hear you enjoyed the facilities, location, and the stunning scenery! We're glad the weekend hopper bus and nearby bus stop added to your convenience during your stay.
We understand the weekday winter bus schedule can be a bit limiting, and we’ll continue to share transport tips with guests to help plan ahead. As for the TV reception, that’s really helpful to know — we’ll look into ways to better inform guests about bringing a TV aerial cable, perhaps in our pre-arrival info.
Thanks again for sharing your experience — we hope to welcome you back soon!

While the hillside location may mean a bit of a walk to the lake, it's actually one of the things that makes our site special. The elevated setting is ideal for hikers and walkers, offering access to some stunning trails and views — exactly what the Lake District is all about!
We hope to welcome you back again soon — maybe next time we can help you find a pitch with a clearer view!
