General
- Small campsite in Cumbria's scenic Eden Valley
- Five minutes' drive from Penrith town centre; Ullswater 15 minutes
- Back to basics camping field with flat and spacious pitches
Mount Eden Camping is a small and secluded campsite five minutes' drive from Penrith town centre in the Eden Valley.
While close to the Lake District National Park and its exceptional scenery, this site is far from the crowds and is located in a rural area in the grounds of an old cottage. This quiet spot has pleasant surroundings and is very close to the Coast to Coast cycle route, with lots of level ground and uninterrupted views over to the fells.
Located near a main road, it's easy to reach Mount Eden Camping; it's also easy to stock up on supplies down the road at any of the several shops and supermarkets in Penrith.
This family-friendly site allows barbecues and welcomes well-behaved dogs (please keep them on a lead while outside of your unit). The set-up here is basic, with portaloos pretty much covering it, but the excellent local scenery, Penrith's many amenities and easy access to the national motorway network more than make up for the lack of flashy facilities.

Thank you very much for your review and I'm sorry things were not exactly as you had anticipated.
Perhaps, though, your comments on the information about the site should be addressed directly to Pitch Up as they write the descriptions for all their listings. One of the reasons they do this is that campers should find the facilities they expect from the listing on the site. If this has not happened here, I'm sure they would be interested in your feedback.
