What customers say
This is a well-run campsite in a stunning location, praised for its friendly staff, cleanliness, and spacious pitches. Hot showers and fire pit options are popular. It's ideal for walkers with easy access to Catbells and Derwent Water, and a pub is within walking distance. While some mention basic facilities and occasional busyness, the overall experience is highly positive, with many visitors planning return trips.

Would go again! Highly recommend. Thankyou.
Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Toilet and showers were kept fresh and clean. (I was a bit worried about the toilets being like portaloos but although they were on a trailer block they were a “proper” loo and nicer than other permanent camping loo blocks I have been in! There was no need to worry!)
Showers were hot.
Owners were friendly and available.
Beautiful views.
Kids enjoyed playing in the field and with the rope swing and making new friends.
It was peaceful and quiet and family friendly.
Although no electrics our power banks served our phones well and the signal was good (Vodafone)

Washing up are with hot water, dish soap, also nice and clean.

Liked Large fields with plenty of space. Although only in containers, the toilets and showers were excellent, very clean and good hot water. There were two large washing up sinks with hot water and dish soap provided. Very close to the adventure centre.
