Liked: Really enjoyed our stay at Newlands Valley Campsite. The toilet/ showers were clean and warm.
We stayed on a Saturday night and although there was a group camping near us, they were respectful and quiet.
I can see that the field may get muddy if it rains but it’s a field… that’s what happens

Liked: The land was beautiful, facilities did the job, showers were hot. Hosts were very chill and felt at ease from the moment we arrived. Location was incredible, super easy to get on amazing walks, and the local pub was smashing.
Disliked: The waste management I thought was a bit of a shame, no separation or recycling options, just a big skip. The owners didn't know if anything was recycled. Hot water for washing up was a bit lacking, but it did the job. There were no toilet brushes, so weren't kept that clean.

Liked: great location, clean facilities and friendly staff. felt safe on the site with young children, we are just gutted you aren’t open more but also understand this is a council issue and no fault of your own, we can’t wait to come back already!
Disliked: can’t fault site or staff.

Liked: The campsite is in a stunning setting not too far out of Keswick and close to some excellent walks and Watersports centres. We had lots of rain so weren't brave enough to walk the entirety of the lake, but the site is close enough to allow for it and it took us an hour to saunter into town. Cat Fells is very close too. The toilets and showers were well maintained and clean, despite the rain bringing a bit of mud (which was coned off). My boys enjoyed watching the bats above whilst eating smores around the campfire. £12 deposit and £8 for the wood, you get £5 back on return of the pit. We had a lovely stay, despite our tent deciding to leak! We'll definitely stay again.
Disliked: Our leaky tent - so nothing!

Liked: The amenities, showers and toilets were lovely and clean. The views all the way round were stunning, decent size field. Put 5mins up the road! 👌🏼
Disliked: The sheep poo... our dog loved it though... showers came in handy

From the manager: Thankyou for your review!
Yes we have had a few stray sheep come onto the site its really tricky as we don't shut the gates but they never usually stay for long once they realise there are people and dogs around, but my dog is the same with it as well!
Really glad you enjoyed your stay and the amenities!
See you again soon hopefully.
Kind Regards
Ruby
