What customers say
This campsite offers beautiful views and is ideally located for walks and exploring the Lake District. Guests praise the friendly staff and generally clean, well-maintained facilities, particularly the hot showers. The option to hire fire pits is popular. While spacious, some visitors note the facilities can become busy during peak times and the site can be muddy after rain.

Stunning views, off grid with facilities the perfect base to explore
Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Absolutely everything! I stayed for 2 nights with my partner, son and his friend (both 8 years old). No allocated plots meaning you can pick your spot. The location has the most stunning Mountain View’s at every angle. We decided to do the cat bells and derwent water circular whilst there and were able to walk to the start of the trail in 20 minutes.
The facilities are amazing, especially for being pop up. The toilets and shower blocks are well stocked and maintain and the staff are the most friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be returning 😊

Liked Fantastic campsite. Opted to stay another day than expected. The individuals running the site were lovely and approachable and were ready to help with anything when needed. Facilities were very clean. You could tell time was taken daily to ensure everything was ready for use. Lots of toilet rolls and sanitary products alongside air freshener in each cubicle which was a lovely touch. Separate fields for adults and people travelling as a family which was a lovely as it was nice and quite for myself and my partner. Definitely the nicest campsite we've been too wouldnt hesitate to come again next time.
Disliked Nothing the site and staff were lovely. Facilities great.
