What customers say
This is a small, peaceful campsite in an idyllic location with stunning views. Visitors consistently praise the immaculate and modern toilet and shower facilities, as well as the friendly and exceptionally helpful wardens, Sandy and Bruce. The site is well-maintained, with thoughtful touches such as games, a shop selling essentials, and options to hire fire pits and BBQs. While some note the remote location and a steep access road, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many visitors expressing a strong desire to return.

Excellent customer service, facilities and site
Non-electric grass and earth tent or motorhome pitch
Liked With our camping tent set up we are always really just looking for a leveled pitch location with usable facilities and possibly a good view. Here we were fortunate to have it all and more. This is a fantastic small site with great customer services, lovely facilities and owner passion seen throughout the site.
The location of this site is very usable, only a 20-30 min drive from wasedale valley car park for a number of big hikes and adventures, and near enough for many other activities. Although our visit was short we will return as we think the location provides a good base to explore the area and coastline.

Beautiful area, lovely site.
Non-electric grass and earth tent or motorhome pitch
Liked What a lovely site. A warm welcome by Duncan even though it was pouring with rain. We had the site to ourselves and it was just beautiful. The toilets and shower were clean, and I loved the little facility area.

2 bedroom static caravan
Liked Parkgate Farm Holidays is situated in beautiful Eskdale.
The caravan site is surrounded by mountains and the scenery is fabulous.
The caravan is brand new and you could easily live in it.
Very comfortable and the site is nice and quiet.
A great place for you to relax and get away from it all or a great location for the fell walkers.
Disliked With the road having no lighting,it is quite difficult to find the opening to the caravan site.
However you have to look for landmarks to ensure that you find it

Absolutely amazing
2 bedroom cabin
Liked We've had an amazing time in Parkgate farm. We've stayed in the middle cabin.
On arrival they have switched on the heaters for us, so the cabin was nice and toasty, which was very welcomed after a long drive from South East of England.
Bathroom was nice and clean. Water superbly warm. Couldn't fault it
Bedroom with super comfy mattress, duvet and pillows.
Other bedroom we didn't use, but look equally comfy.
Front room has everything that you need. Couple of 2 seater sofas, smart tv, little table for your food or cuppas. There is also a large blind which can be hanged on the large window for some privacy when you are in the front room. WiFi with very strong signal. Not once did we have any trouble.
Kitchen has everything that you need. From utensils to pots and pans.
We honestly can't fault it. We've had an amazing time, and will definitely come back. Best getaway we've had in a long time.
Wasdale head car park from the farm is about 25mins. And it's 25 mins only due to the fact , that it's pretty much impossible to drive above 20miles an hour due to the width of the roads and blind corners. But you wouldn't want to drive any faster anyways as the views are absolutely spectacular and breathtaking.
We would definitely recommend this place.
Disliked Disliked the fact that we've had to leave to go to monotonous work :-)

Incredible site with impeccable facilities. Great options of pitches.
Non-electric grass and earth campervan or tent pitch (small)
Liked The contact with Sandy and Bruce was incredible had a call at the start of our journey explaining there was strong winds expected and our designated plot was quite open so was given options.
Arrived and met Bruce straight away who showed us the available plots and we were able to choose one that was more covered from the weather for our tent!
They had fire pits and bbqs able to hire (fire pits are key for a weekend camping!) the fire pits were awesome, recycled car wheels with legs welded on!
The facilities were incredible the showers toilets and washing up areas were spotless warm and didn’t feel like a camp site!
Sandy and Bruce were on hand for any enquiries and checked in with us both nights of our stay which was so lovely of them
WiFi access was great, even if there was none it would still be a great place to stay.
Had an absolutely incredible time, waking up and seeing the sheep was an extra perk with donkeys just down the road we loved it!
