What customers say
This small, peaceful campsite is set in a beautiful rural location, surrounded by animals including horses, chickens, and cows. Guests consistently praise the friendly and helpful host, Joan. Facilities are basic, with a clean toilet and a utility room for washing up, though no showers are available. The site is well-maintained and offers good value, with many appreciating the proximity to a local pub. While some mention the need for earplugs due to early morning cockerels, the overall experience is described as relaxing and enjoyable, with a strong desire to return.

very quiet and peaceful.
Electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Friendly and very helpful owner, Joan. Very quiet and peaceful. Small site as described. Facilities basic (as described) but always clean.
Great location, in the middle of nowhere. Great views. walks all around, to Dufton Pike and the other way to Appleby. Could do longer if you wanted.
Pub see below, but there were two others 1 or 2 miles away.
Disliked Could do with another toilet for busy times.
One downside was the pub, which seems to open when the landlord feels like it. He was not very welcoming at all.
It was only open two nights out of our four, and he wasn't serving food. Bank Holiday weekend, what custom was he missing out on !!

Horses in the field loved a good nose scratch and the chickens and cock made sure you were on time for morning wake up
Disliked Not really a dislike just hope they add showers in the future and this would be a 10/10 site then but knew before travel and wasn’t a problem for one night stay.
