What customers say
This is a well-maintained, clean, and peaceful campsite with beautiful countryside views. Pitches are spacious and offer privacy. Facilities, including toilet and shower blocks, are consistently praised for their cleanliness. Owners are described as friendly and helpful, with clear communication. Some guests mentioned the low amperage of electric hook-ups and noted the site's rural location, which can mean narrow access roads and longer walks to amenities. Flooding can be an issue in winter.

Overall the camp site is lovely great views, friendly staff.
Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked The views, big field for kids to play on, enclosed dog field, friendly and helpful staff, fire pit rental with everything you need for a couple of fires
Disliked Tight small road leading up to the pitches, other guests not keeping to the speed limit on site especially with kids playing, we got the first end plot but feel any further up would off ruined our stay due to feeling quite enclosed to other guests around us and having the view of tents, local pub is not local, think you would have to power walk to do it in 30mins.

From the manager: Hi there,
Thanks for the review. In response:
- The road through the site is a standard 3m width. Given we have 7 tourer pitches we didn’t feel a dual carriageway was required.
- Thank you for confirming in your private feedback that we do have a 5mph speed limit and that you are not sure how we could enforce it. Many guests are blissfully unaware of others around them and we can only have a word when we see it or receive a complaint. We would. Further add that single contraflow system on site is intended to control traffic.
- Again from your private feedback you say you otherwise “had a lovely time”, but publicly say you wouldn’t recommend to friends or come again. Which is it?
- Yes the pub is a couple of miles away which we would consider local. There’s also transport to the pub referred to in the welcome back which you haven’t mentioned.
- Finally, you’ve scored us low on cleanliness which I take exception to. It was the busy bank holiday weekend and if I cleaned those loos once I must have cleaned them 4 times a day if not more. Every time I walked in there was grass all over the floor as some people must not know how to use a door mat but that’s about it. But harsh to suggest we weren’t clean.
Hope you find somewhere with better traffic management next time.
Cheers
