  • Spacious site within Blakemere Village shopping and recreation centre
  • Microbrewery, falconry displays, adventure playground and restaurant
  • Within half an hour's drive of Chester Zoo and Blue Planet Aquarium
Sit back and spend some quality time together at Blakemere Touring Caravan Park, set in the central Cheshire countryside. Warm and friendly, and with excellent facilities to match, this spot has exactly what you need if you want to relax with your favourite people. A bus stop with convenient routes to Northwich and Chester is a short stroll from the site. Together with Cuddington train station, 25 minutes’ walk away, there’s also access to the lovely market town of Knutsford and the historic city of Chester. Calling all archers… also potters, shoppers and falcon fans… for Blakemere Touring Caravan Park is also in a prime slice of the countryside adjacent to Blakemere Village. This attraction has a shopping centre housed in a block of converted Edwardian stables, alongside a miniature railway, and may be the only village where you can saunter from an archery range to an antiques market, or slot a falconry display alongside making and painting your own mugs. If you’re peckish, there are many great places to eat and drink in the village, which includes pubs, a coffee bar and several artisan food outlets. Barbecues are allowed for those who want to dine outdoors. Pick up provisions from the farm shop just a five-minute drive down the road and do your chopping, grating and dicing in the food prep area. The kids might be so chuffed with the adventure playground that they offer to do the washing up… Dogs are welcome: the adjacent Mersey Forest makes a fine venue for walks with canine companions and there’s a tap to hand for the cleaning off of muddy paws.

Gold fully-serviced gravel touring pitch

Liked The gold touring pitch was excellent, the amenities on the site could only be described as spotless and warm, Reception was exceptionally welcoming and the maintenance team obviously took pride in their site. the whole experience was added to by the adjacent Blakemere village where retail entertainment alongside food and drink was in abundance. All in all a site that we extended our stay at simply to have a Sunday lunch in the Village Restaurant and one will definitely be going back to.

Disliked The only things that we would class as cons and not really dislikes were that the off lead dog area could have been somewhat larger especially as room was in abundance to do this, the current size was adequate but when two or more dogs were using it at one time along with owners it was a little restrictive.
The only other thing that seemed to be ignored by some (the absolute minority) was the concept of quiet time from 10pm onwards as on our first night this was not adhered to by one group of visitors until circa 1am.

From the manager: Thank you for the feedback. We are sorry you felt the dog enclosure was a little small, we will pass this onto the owners at the next meeting. We do have an emergency phone number that is on the reception door and over at the amenities block that you can call our wardens on 24 hours a day for any issues that may arise, including any noise related problems after 10pm so we can rectify the situation at the time for all our guests staying on site. We are glad you had a brilliant stay, despite the first night, and we look forward to welcomimg you back again in the near future.

Liked Everything, the amenities were extremely good, the disabled bathroom was exalent, good pitch size, the staff were all very helpful and friendly & the site was spotless. Blakemere site was right next to Blakemere village, with artisan shops, & places to eat & drink. It was very easy to find, just off a main road

Silver electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Really lovely camp site, really quiet, nice warm welcome on arrival. spotless thought our stay. Lovely clean shower blocks. Plenty to do in Blakemere village. We went into a couple of the bars and our drinks were standard prices. I can’t believe we haven’t been there before, definitely returning next season.

Gold fully-serviced gravel touring pitch

Liked Wow! Considering this is the first time of being on a caravan site we’ve truly been blessed, this has to be the very best by far, spotlessly clean - everywhere, well run and very friendly, Electric hook up and water connector right next to our pitch.
Even though the site was busy from 10pm it completely went quiet.
Better still there’s a fantastic restaurant called “ THE VILLAGE RESTAURANT & COFFEE BAR” where we had breakfast which also was superb and again highly recommend it - plus show your key fob off site and you get a further 20% off 😊

Local attractions

With Blakemere Village containing days'worth of stuff to do and see, no-one would blame you for staying put and savouring it all... if you do fancy venturing further afield though, Cheshire is chock full of options... Perhaps the on-site birds of prey aviary and falconry displays have piqued your interest? If so, take a trip to Chester Zoo and its underwater equivalent, the Blue Planet Aquarium (both 25 minutes’ drive), for encounters furry, fanged and cute. For a closer look at wildlife, Wood Lane Nature Reserve and the nearby Fenn’s, Whixall and Bettisfield Mosses (50 minutes) draw birdwatchers and walkers in search of avocets and herons, adders and flesh-eating bog plants. If that sounds a bit alien, beetle over to Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre to take a look at the universe through the Lovell Telescope, or travel back to 13th-century times at Beeston Castle, both 25 minutes away. Don’t forget rock and pop history at The Cavern 50 minutes away in Liverpool, along with the Tate gallery, the busy waterfront and the ferries across the Mersey…
