  • Quiet family-run site five minutes’ drive from Tattenhall in Cheshire
  • Shropshire Union Canal five minutes’ drive and Chester 20 minutes
  • Wildlife pond and walks on site; pubs and shops five minutes’ drive
Set in 20 rural acres on the Cheshire Plain and five minutes’ drive from the pretty village of Tattenhall, Manor Farm Caravan Park is a small family-owned site with hardstanding and grass pitches sheltered by high hedges and trees. It’s a peaceful spot that’s something of a wildlife haven; you might wake up to the chirping of birds and the sight of playful wild rabbits scuttling around the fields. Keep your eyes open at dusk and you may spot ducks and geese settling for the night around the ponds, or hedgehogs foraging for food. Tattenhall has its fair share of half-timbered cottages and indie shops as well as pubs, restaurants and takeaways if you’re wanting someone else to do the legwork where food is concerned. When you’re looking for outdoor adventures, Delamere Forest (20 minutes) is a labyrinth of walking, horse riding and cycling trails, while Chester (also 20 minutes) makes a great day out thanks to its Roman/medieval walls, half-timbered Tudor-era architecture and zoo. Facilities have been kept to a minimum so as not to disturb the wildlife, but all the pitches have an electric hook-up. There are also spotless showers with loads of hot water to go round, and a covered washing-up sink.

What customers say

This is a well-maintained, peaceful site offering excellent value for money with spacious, level pitches. Visitors consistently praise the spotless toilet and shower facilities and the friendly, welcoming owners. The large dog walking field is a highlight. While some mention a desire for more toilets and a lack of nearby amenities, most found the site to be a great base for exploring the area and would happily return.

Badger electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch (large)

Liked ~Price point~
We didn’t expect a lot considering the price, it was just a stop over for us heading to the Lakes from Carmarthen.
We loved how wide the access roads were, the guy that met us at the gate was very friendly and told us exactly where to go and gave us a choice of pitches. Nice wide access from the main road. Seemed a lovely friendly family site. We left quite early 9am but that’s because like I said it was just a stop over for us.

Disliked ~Shower Curtains-
Now as a long distance lorry driver unfortunately I’ve seen my fair share of public showers. These out weigh a lot of what I deal with on a weekly basis. They were very clean, extremely hot (of course adjustable). My only criticism for the whole site is the shower curtains. The tray are not big enough for someone to stand in without the curtain getting stuck to you. The only way to combat this is either install sliding glass doors or install longer trays. The longer trays isn’t really feasible in the space they have so it would have to be a sliding door in my personal opinion.

From the manager: Thank you for your kind review Jack. The shower block will be revamped in future plans and we will take your suggestion into account.

Liked The location, the views, the pitches each have water and grey waist disposal.
Very friendly owner.

Disliked I didn't dislike anything.

From the manager: Thank you Ziggy, not sure if this review is meant for us as our rabbit pitches are grass only so no water and grey waste available on pitches.

Denise R.

Fox electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Great location near Chester. Greeted by owners on arrival and offered a choice of pitch. Shower/toilet block centrally located with adjacent chemical toilet and grey water disposal points. Grass was well mown and site very well kept. Bus stop short walk away. The only point I would like to make is that the owners have undervalued themselves and that pitch prices should be a lot higher.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you Denise, your review is very much appreciated. Maybe next year we'll up the price for you lol
