It’s a win-win situation at Chester Fairoaks Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite, just off the M53 in a handy spot for either a short stopover or a longer break spent exploring Chester, Cheshire and North Wales. This site is managed by the Caravan and Motorhome Club and it’s open to members and non-members, with special rates for members. The price displayed is the member price; non-members will need to select the £15 per night extra or become a member. That means the £69 annual membership is well worth considering if you're likely to spend more than four nights at a Caravan and Motorhome Club site over the year – it brings discounts at more than 140 UK Club sites, plus a raft of other perks, like access to tailored caravan/motorhome insurance and discounts on days out. Pitches here have been set up with the needs of touring guests in mind – they're level, easy to access and spacious enough to house all your kit. The park is bordered by mature oak trees to give it a green and pleasant atmosphere for a relaxing stay. Kids and dogs are welcome at the site, which has a play area and a dog park to provide a bit of fun for both. Facilities here are of the high quality you’d expect from a Club site, covering things like wifi, a launderette, a chemical disposal point and well-appointed bathroom blocks with accessible facilities and baby/toddler washrooms. Once you’re settled in, it’s easy to get out and about again – a short walk takes you to a couple of local pubs, a supermarket, Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet and Blue Planet Aquarium. Chester is a 15-minute drive away, or you can make the journey using local bus services.

  • If you choose the membership option, your membership details will be issued within five working days once the booking is fully paid. A 14-day cooling-off period from the booking date allows for cancellation of the membership and a refund of any fees paid.

Liked I have been to this campsite last year and really enjoyed it.

Disliked I was at this campsite on the 11th of September and there was a lot of travelers on the site. Nothing against them but the children just don’t care about how they go about their day
Spoilt it a bit for me glad I was there for only 1 night
I know you don’t know who’s booking the pitches. But that’s is my opinion of my stay this time.

Liked Clean site, spacious pitches, good facilities and friendly welcoming staff.

Disliked A lot of rules ( that most people didn't follow!) Great for families and dog owners but as an older couple with a small campervan, we wouldn't choose to stay there again.

Getting out on foot is easy from this park – a 20-minute walk takes you to either the Blue Planet Aquarium or the shops of Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, and it’s also not far to Stanney Woods Country Park or the banks of the Shropshire Union Canal. Chester (15 minutes’ drive) is the area’s big draw – spend the day walking the city’s Roman walls, visiting the cathedral and exploring the black-and-white timber-framed shop buildings of The Rows. Chester Racecourse (15 minutes) is another option, or you could take the kids to the excellent Chester Zoo (five minutes), home to over 12,000 animals. Beyond that, you could visit the National Waterways Museum Ellesmere Port (five minutes), visit The Crocky Trail amusement park (15 minutes), spend the day in Liverpool (half an hour), climb Moel Famau (40 minutes), hit the beach in Rhyl (45 minutes)… there's plenty to choose from.
