Liked: I booked first then checked reviews later and I was skeptical after reading. However, on arrival we were greeted by Richie who gave us all the information we needed, where to set up and toilets ect. We came to fish but had never done it before and was clueless (all the gear and no idea). We asked Richie who checked us in if he had any tips on how to set up a new rod and he was happy to help. He ended up setting our rod up for us and taught us how to do it ourselves for the future. He also told us the best lakes and places to fish in. We caught so many fish and had an amazing time thanks to Richie, who saved the day. Towards the end of the day we met Joe who was doing his rounds and came to see how we got on with fishing, He was such a friendly and pleasant guy. I honestly do not understand why people are leaving bad reviews? Some reviews say the toilets and showers are not in pristine condition but they are more than adequate for camping and I personally feel that was enough. Richie and Joe were both working hard all day to maintain and improve the site. We told Joe we were impressed with how beautiful and well layed out the site is and he said there's still a long way to go, showing that he has big ambitions to improve the site daily. If you like fishing or camping then this is a hidden gem. It has beautiful walks and multiple different lakes which are amazing and fully stocked fish. Even when checking out we tried to give Richie a small tip for helping us out and he flat out refused to take it. We will definitely be back again! Thanks again Ritchie and Joe.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Upon arrival was put into a hard standing pitch as the weather had been bad and they didn’t want the van getting stuck- appreciate that as it was very boggy.
Disliked: Basic facilities. Nowhere to wash up other than the toilet block.

Liked: Husband and son went for fishing an overnight stay in the camper van. The owner took his time to go over and have a chat and he was a lovely man. Plenty of fish caught (I think 20 between them). They will be back
