What customers say
Ponden Mill offers a peaceful escape in a beautiful, scenic location, ideal for walkers and those seeking tranquility. Guests frequently praise the friendly and helpful hosts, the picturesque riverside pitches, and the proximity to Haworth. While facilities are described as basic by some, they are generally considered clean and adequate for short stays. Some visitors noted issues with dated amenities and occasional midges. Improvements to washing up facilities and more extensive hot water availability have been mentioned.

Lovely quiet, dog friendly, spot to park up for the night
Electric optional hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch
Liked Booked a non-electric pitch for our VW campervan for one night. Nice to have the choice of where to pitch. Richard, one of the owners, was very welcoming and we even managed to buy a few drinks from the bar and sat outside by the lovely open fire (Richard explained that the bar and cafe are usually open on Sundays - as it's mainly a wedding venue). Loved how peaceful the site was and the nature aspect. Also very handy for Haworth. We did notice that there was only one shower and one loo for men, but we were lucky, only 2 solo campers when we stayed, so felt like we had the place to ourselves.
Disliked A personal pet peeve of mine- only an outside sink to wash up in - but it did have hot water - thankfully it didn't rain when i needed to wash up!

Electric optional hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch
Liked Pleasant enough staff helpful for advising where to go for walks. Stunning views in the area and main town of Haworth a short drive ans is so pretty and quaint.
Disliked No grass pitch it was more gravel. Felt like we were staying in a car park. Toilet's were ok but no hot water and no one around to ask. All in all disappointed as the photos online looked beautiful.

I would come back but only for a night or two.
Electric optional hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch
Liked Lovely location, level pitches, friendly staff, nice cafe.
Disliked As with other reviewers the lack of hot water in the toilets was an issue. We were told to let them know if it happened which we did but it didn’t make any difference. Also the lights over the wash basins in the ladies didn’t work so it was dark and impossible to use the mirrors.

Really nice, only stayed the 1 night. Would stay again.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Friendly staff
Site was flat, some sites have had a slope
Pretty place in the sunlight
Clean facilities
Ground was soft with very few rocks
Disliked I know the site cannot do anything about the wind but a few trees, bushes or hedge to shelter the tents would be my only thought. as the wind was blowing a gale (nothing the site can do) but I did have the big tent pegs to secure my tent.
Again, nothing the site can do but very little signal on the mobile network. The site had WiFi though at one end of the site.
