Can't wait to be in the countryside? Then you’ll surely be pleased to hear that Huntlaw Hideaway is surrounded by green fields, on a farm with resident pigs. That’s right – this Northumberland glamping site is in a lovely rural spot. About a 20-minute drive from the town of Ponteland, this location is an excellent one for chilled-out days of walking (good news for those travelling with dogs…) and has several local pubs nearby for tasty meals. Fishing lakes, golf courses, castles and sections of Hadrian's Wall could also be on the menu, or perhaps a hike in the Northumberland National Park (about half an hour's drive away). It's not all about the countryside, though – you’ll also be able to throw in trips to the coast at Whitley Bay or Blyth, both around 45 to 50 minutes' drive away, or head to the bright lights of Newcastle upon Tyne for a taste of city life in about 40 minutes.

Liked Absolutely beautiful, something a little bit different.
We all loved our stay.
The beds were very comfortable too.
The outdoor toilet was very clean.
Inside the horsebox there was everything you needed to enjoy a very comfortable stay. Nice little touch with the marshmallows for the kids and a bottle of prosecco for the adults.
We slept in due to our phones running out of battery however the owner was very friendly and understanding about it.

Liked Beautiful location, really lovely fit out of the horse box with everything we needed, cosy, the girls loved seeing the horses and pigs in the morning.

Bell tent

Liked Sat nav wanted to take us to the neighbours farm but just continue on the main road, you'll see another drive with a little stone sign for Huntlaw Hideaway.
Beautiful tipee, so lovely inside. Inside the welcome pack was some local information such as transport. Thoughtful touches as well such as a bottle of fizz, head torch and such. Unfortunately it was a little late and the weather was a little late when we arrived or we'd have enjoyed a fire in the fire pit. The sky was absolutely stunning in the night, go out and look at the starts 😍. I wish we could've stayed longer, I can't say how lovely it was, and the bed was so comfortable and warm

Bell tent

Liked Absolute gem of a place! We struggle to find places that are perfect for all our children - we have now.

We loved the tranquil location. I was very impressed with how comfortable the tent was in particular the bed, there was loads of added extras to make us feel at home.

We are looking to book up again in the summer the kids were gutted to leave!

The hosts are really friendly and attentive too, even providing a social story to help transition with our autistic son. So much attention to detail.
