  • Basic site on a working farm with views of the Cheviot Hills
  • Northumberland Coast National Landscape from 15 minutes’ drive
  • A short walk from the village pub, shop and fishery
Might you like to stay within walking distance of a pub, shop and fishing lakes? How about 15 minutes’ drive away from the edge of the Northumberland Coast National Landscape? That lovely location belongs to Reddis Farm Campsite, a farm site within walking distance of the village of Chatton and a short drive from castles and sandy beaches. This is a basic site with toilets and bins supplied. It’s on a working farm, so you might have livestock for neighbours and hear/see the tractors working throughout the summer. The village pub and shop are 15 minutes’ walk away, and it’s a 10-minute walk to the entrance to Chatton Trout Fishery, where fly fishing is possible. Further afield is Wooler (10 minutes’ drive, to be exact), on the edge of the Northumberland National Park, with a busy high street. For walks, the Cheviot Hills are just a little further west. In the opposite direction from the site, a 15-minute drive will get you to the Northumberland Coast National Landscape. Alnwick is a 25-minute drive away from Reddis Farm Campsite. Head there to see the castle and the gardens (also home to a large play area) or for a shopping spree; it has both supermarkets and independent shops.

What customers say

A quiet, peaceful site with stunning views and clean portaloos. Pitches are flat and include picnic tables. The local pub is a 15-minute walk away, though booking is advised for food. Guests appreciated the relaxing atmosphere and would return, with suggestions for future improvements including electric hook-ups and running water. This was the site's opening weekend.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked The views are stunning the site is really quite and peaceful, on site a clean porta loo saved a lot of stress there were 2 mobile homes and about 8 tents in this field that could hold 100 easy the local pub in the village is a gentle 15 min stroll very good range of drinks but you need to reserve a table for food and they were fully booked so can't tell you what food is like did see a small shop but it was Saturday and after 6pm so was closed . Would go back absolutely yes . I can only get better maybe add electric hook ups and running water .

Disliked Nothing to dislike go prepared and it so relaxing
