What customers say
This small, adult-only campsite offers a peaceful escape in Kielder Forest with stunning views. Visitors consistently praise the exceptional, immaculately clean shower and toilet facilities, often described as the best they've encountered. Generous, level pitches with water and electric hook-ups are appreciated, as is the quiet atmosphere. The site is ideal for walking and cycling, with many trails accessible from the doorstep. Some guests note limited mobile signal and Wi-Fi, and a few mention midges in warmer months.

Brilliant little campsite
Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Excellent little campsite. The facilities were brilliant; probably the best campsite showers we’ve had! A great location to explore Kielder Forest!
Disliked Be prepared with food and drink if visiting Kielder Forest, as there aren’t many options to get stuff when you’re there. There is a little village shop, but it has limited opening hours and it’s closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Beautiful site. No amenities nearby.
Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Absolutely immaculately site. Beautiful shower block. Everything pristine. Lovely large and well defined pitches with lovely views.
Perfect for a seriously peaceful getaway with no tech.
Disliked Unfortunately the local pub and shop were both closed. This was August bank holiday Monday! The shop reopened on the Wednesday and the pub only for Thursday lunch then Friday and Saturday. We had to drive 18 miles to a supermarket.
If we had known in advance they were closed we would have been better prepared or moved to a different site.

Liked Loved everything about this site, The toilet/shower/wash up 'shed' was amazing & well thought about when built. The owners were friendly and available if required. Will definitely be returning
Disliked The fact we only had 2 nights, lol.

Perfect for piece and quiet, amazing views, fantastic showers
Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Wow what a location, if you love peace and quiet and stunning views this is the place. Massive gravel hard standing with your water and electrics close by, it’s on a raised location so stunning views, perfect for stargazing if clear.
The shower/toilet block is the best we have ever used, it is made mostly out of local wood and smelt amazing. In the showers there is massive overhead shower head which was powerful and as hot as you could ever want, you could hold a party in there so plenty of room to get changed in !!!!!! The toilets are spotless with a large sink to brush your teeth and wash your hands.
Bring all your food with you as if you don’t want to move your van there is nothing close to buy groceries. There is a pub at the bottom of the track near to the castle and bike hire place but it is closed Mon-Wed and only open until 1800hrs the rest of the time.
We hired an E-bike for the day (£90) from the bike hire shop and cycled around the lake utilising the much needed cafe/pub on the way round, but if you want to do nothing and listen to the absolute silence apart from owls and other birds and the odd red squirrel visit, pitch black night skies with amazing shower/toilet facilities this location is for you.
Disliked Nothing to dislike, absolutely stunning

Liked Very small (7pitches) peaceful and tranquil site, fantastic. Lots of forest walks alongside the park with keilder forest in easy walking distance. Booked the site for peace and quiet and wasn't disappointed. Very quiet and spent hours just listening to the sounds of nature and an owl at the end of the day.
Best toilet block I've ever seen, rustic built with locally sourced timber but very clean and spacious. Showers are brilliant with not having to keep pressing the button and with plenty of hot water. Washing machine and dryer also available.
Chemical disposal and motorhome service area.
Lovely conversation with the owner, very pleasant and told their aim is to have a quiet and peaceful site which they sure have.
Mobile signal not the best but it's not what I went for and the owners have provided a phone to use (free) in the nearby phone box which also has WiFi.
TV signal quite good considering the location.
Shame I could only manage 2 days but will definitely be back.
