  • Small and peaceful touring site at Low Bentham in North Yorkshire
  • Yorkshire Dales 10 minutes’ drive and the Lake District half an hour
  • Serviced pitches with rural views; shops and pubs 20 minutes’ walk
Finding a small and peaceful tourer park a few minutes’ drive from both the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District national parks may seem like a tall order, but it can be done. Just look at Willentree Caravan and Motorhome Park, a quiet spot with just a handful of pitches set in pretty North Yorkshire countryside on the outskirts of Low Bentham. The village’s neighbour Bentham (20 minutes’ walk/five minutes’ drive) has a range of shops, cafés, pubs and takeaways to keep any hunger pangs away. If you’re into golf, there’s a challenging 18-hole course nearby (five minutes’ drive), and you can find all the walking and cycling options you need in the Forest of Bowland National Landscape (also five minutes). You can be in the Yorkshire Dales within 10 minutes by car, while the Lake District is a little further away at half an hour’s drive. Facilities on this mini-site include fully serviced pitches with electric and water hook-ups, a waste water drain and chemical toilet disposal.

What customers say

This is a well-maintained, quiet, and peaceful site with spacious, fully serviced pitches offering privacy. Guests praised the friendly and helpful owner, Bill, and the excellent location for walking and accessing local amenities and pubs. A secure field is available for dogs and children. Limited 5G reception and the need for torches after dark were noted. Some mention the absence of on-site toilet and shower facilities.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Had to rearrange my visit to this weekend, but did so by contacting the site directly and speaking to the owner. It was changed without any hassle. Lovely little site and a nice base with easy reach of high bentham and local pubs. We seemed very lucky with the weather and avoided the wind & rain during the day. Listening to the little stream was very relaxing and the 3 sheep in the field was happy to have a nose rub.
We would definitely return.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked 5 nice spacious pitches in a peaceful area at the edge of a small village. Pitches are fully serviced which makes things easier given there are no facilities on site.

Pitches were very level.

Some nice walks nearby and a short drive from some lovely days out.

Disliked Essentially this is a sloped field/paddock with 5 pitches - if you plan for a basic stay away that'll be fine, but there really is no thrills.
