  • Small and peaceful touring site at Low Bentham in North Yorkshire
  • Yorkshire Dales 10 minutes’ drive and the Lake District half an hour
  • Serviced pitches with rural views; shops and pubs 20 minutes’ walk
Finding a small and peaceful tourer park a few minutes’ drive from both the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District national parks may seem like a tall order, but it can be done. Just look at Willentree Caravan and Motorhome Park, a quiet spot with a handful of pitches set in pretty North Yorkshire countryside on the outskirts of the village of Low Bentham. Neighbouring High Bentham (20 minutes’ walk/five minutes’ drive) has a range of shops, cafés, takeaways and pubs – including one run by the local community – to keep any hunger pangs at bay. There’s a challenging 18-hole course nearby (five minutes’ drive) for the golfers among you, and you can find all the walking and cycling options you need in the Forest of Bowland National Landscape (also five minutes). If you have dogs with you, there’s a small stream at the bottom of the site where they can safely splash around – and you can walk along the River Wenning into Low Bentham too. Facilities on this mini-site include fully serviced and level pitches with electric and water hook-ups, a waste water drain and chemical toilet disposal. Please note there are no toilets or showers.

Liked Small, but perfectly formed site, only four pitches. Phone to check in worked fine, owner answered quickly and was very friendly and helpful. Short walk to The Punch Bowl pub (which we didn't get to).

FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked Beautiful site, well maintained and very peaceful. There are five level hard standing fully serviced pitches with a brook running through the bottom of the site, fields and woodland surrounding it.
Great base for exploring the Dales, lakes and the Bowland fells and Forests.
£30 per night including water and electric is an absolute bargain.
Bill the owner is very friendly and helpful.
