This is a quiet, basic campsite with spacious pitches, praised for its cleanliness and friendly, accommodating owner, Val. Facilities are described as adequate but dated, with plans for upgrades. Nearby village amenities and public transport to York are appreciated. Some guests noted road noise and limited phone signal. Visitors frequently express a desire to return.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Everything..the most quiet beautiful site we stayed in. Basic but had clean toilet and drinking water which is all we needed. Just off the main road but still very quiet and just surrounded by fields and horses. The nearest pub is 25 mins walk for an evening drink. We had the best stay, super happy. Val, the lady who runs it is very friendly. Gate works but the wood is warped and just needs a bit of a push to open it :)
Disliked Nothing at all

Good value for money

Val the host was lovely and welcoming.
Disliked Facilities could do to be updated, but were fit for purpose.

Val the lady who greets you,…
Electric grass pitch
Liked Val the lady who greets you, is really friendly and always ensures you have everything you need, she makes the campsite.
That the village Huby is only a mile’s walk away, it has a pub (serving food) and a community shop, also there are various houses selling jam, honey, kindling, eggs, etc. It’s a really cute village.
The campsite has everything you need, it would be nice if there was a pot wash, but there isn’t, so we managed.
Bus stop in Huby not far, to Easingwold, Thirsk & York.
You’re allowed a campfire, just protect the grass.
Disliked Nothing
