What customers say
This is a basic, peaceful site with friendly staff and animals. Many guests enjoyed the quiet location and space. However, issues with muddy access, particularly after rain, and basic, sometimes unclean toilet and shower facilities have been consistently reported. Some guests also noted a lack of clear signage and on-site management. Improvements to ground conditions and facilities are ongoing.

The pitch sizes at this campsite…
Electric grass pitch
Liked The pitch sizes at this campsite are exceptionally generous and well-planned. Unlike sites where plots feel cramped and overcrowded, there is ample space, excellent privacy, and plenty of breathing room to set up your camp comfortably.
The extra space makes a huge difference, especially for families or those with larger setups. You can easily fit a full-sized tent, outdoor seating, and all your gear without feeling squeezed in, leaving plenty of open room to relax outdoors.
Disliked At £120 for a two-night stay, the level of service and site maintenance fell drastically short of expectations. Arrival instructions were unclear regarding where to pitch, leaving us to locate a spot entirely on our own. With a complete absence of on-site staff, there was no management present to handle check-ins, oversee upkeep, or address ongoing issues.
The facilities were severely neglected across the board. Bathrooms and showers were poorly cleaned, one shower was out of order, and the lighting in the amenities area was non-functional. Essential supplies were understocked, with only six toilet rolls provided for the entire site. Furthermore, the dishwashing point supplied only cold water and lacked proper plumbing, draining wastewater directly onto the floor. Daily waste management was equally poor, allowing overflowing bin trash to blow down into the river. Given the cost, the lack of hygiene, structural flaws, and zero customer support make it impossible to recommend staying here.

Lovely site, if you expect the donkey poo.
Electric grass pitch
Liked Good location, was lovely to see the animals on the campsite even with them escaping their pens. Check in was simple however I think a text message would be better than email as mine went into junk so didn't see it.
Disliked The field was full of donkey poo but I think if the site was advertised as free-roaming animals then you would expect it and take an extra pair of shoes. On arriving the toilet block was very clean, however during our stay other campers left sanitary products all over the floor which is vile, also take your own toilet paper as it's well stocked in the morning but soon disappears. There was no bins in the toilets but the general bins were next to the toilet block so not difficult to tidy up after yourself! Also nothing to do with caravan site but people smoking weed had no respect for the other campers.

Electric grass pitch
Liked On arrival liked the pitch and animals roaming , we did have a good weekend
Disliked Soon filled up and not as much space on your pitch , animals pulling on tent ropes and looking for food. Toilets and showers became dirty and weren’t checked, campers also to blame for leaving a mess behind them! Bins needed in toilets!

Electric grass pitch
Liked Nice location, pitches even so no sloping. Also great to be designated a pitch before arrival so no worrying about someone pinching your spot if you need to head out in the campervan. Peaceful location and near to local spar, garage and pub.
The toilets were clean and the owner was very nice, even offered to lend us some chairs as we forgot ours, highly recommended.

Electric grass pitch
Liked Good location
Close to village shop and pub
Disliked There was a large group in on our second night, which changed the place completely. Not the fault of the campsite, we were just unlucky.

A lovely campsite, just a shame about the toilets/showers.
Electric grass pitch
Liked The location was nice, plenty to do in the surrounding areas animals were gorgeous, nice people.
Disliked As many people have said, unfortunately the toilets and showers were dirty. We were there for 4 nights and I don’t think they were cleaned once. There was no hand soap in any toilet and on a few occasions no toilet roll in any toilet. It’s such a shame really as the toilets and showers themselves are fundamentally nice but they just could use a lick of paint and a regular clean as well as being supplied with hand soap and constant toilet roll. Everything else was nice.

Good experience
Electric grass pitch
Liked Quiet and clean site , small and peaceful. Lizzie text me the day before to tell me my pitch number - the pitches are well spaced out and clearly marked . Great location for a base to explore / visit attractions . Showers and toilets clean . Safe field for the grandchildren to play in and ride their bikes around, plus they LOVED the goats , ponies and donkeys in the paddock !
Disliked No where to walk the dog ! The site was off a small lane but other than walking on the road/lane there were no local footpaths or bridle ways marked
