Heads up, those of you with Caravan and Motorhome Club membership…here’s a lovely place for a peaceful getaway in the North Yorkshire countryside. Brookfields Certified Location is in a quiet location between the villages of Brompton-by-Sawdon and Sherburn, and it’s all set up with the needs of touring guests in mind. This is an adults-only site, so you can expect a nicely serene atmosphere for your stay. Pitches are spacious and surrounded by a quiet orchard for a pretty backdrop and the chance to spot birds and other wildlife in the trees. There are electric hookups at each pitch, and the site has shared facilities including a chemical disposal point, bathrooms and a wifi service. Dogs are welcome, so feel free to bring your furry pal along. The main highlight here, however, is the fishing lake – stocked with carp, tench, rudd, roach and other species and with 16 pegs available (for residents and day visitors alike). The lake adds extra interest for wildlife, too, so you may spot unusual birds like kingfishers around the water. Whether you’re an angler or not, this site makes a great base for a North Yorkshire break, with easy access to the coast and the North York Moors National Park (both about 20 minutes’ drive away) as well as golf courses and walking trails. Between them, the local villages muster a convenience store, a cosy café and a smart foodie pub (all within five minutes’ drive).

Liked Great value for money. It's not an ultra modern, all services available. It's only £25 a night. Including water, electricity. Flat, roomy pitches. Very tidy. Lovely people. Nothing too much trouble. Easy reach of lots of places. I will certainly go again if I want to look into that area. I would definitely recommend it, no problem

Liked Lovely few days at this site. Some great fishing. There is only one toilet no shower but this didn’t bother us at all. We will definately return. We had a hard standing pitch which was perfect for us.

Disliked Only 'downside' was that there's no shower facility.
But that nothing a pack of baby wipes can't help with.

Liked Good pitches, h/standing + grass, all hooked up. Small quiet adult site with fishery if you want it. Friendly + helpful owner. Yes, services are limited, but only there for one night + still saw barn owl, egret, heron + bats in the area. 👍

Liked Stayed on this site on four other occasions Stayed for six nights this time , lovely quiet site , adults only , Morher and son in farmhouse if they were needed , definitely will be staying again .

Liked Lovely quiet site. There are only 3 hard standing pitches. The owners were friendly and made sure we knew where everything was. Not much round but great if you like fishing or want somewhere quiet.

Disliked Toilet was basis no shower. The site could be tidier. There were a couple of apple trees with lots of rotten apples under, these could have been raked up.
