This campsite boasts a stunning coastal location with beautiful views and is a short walk from Robin Hood's Bay. Visitors praise the peaceful atmosphere, spacious pitches, and friendly, helpful hosts. While facilities are described as basic and rustic, they are consistently noted as clean and well-maintained. Come for the location not the hospitality
Non-electric hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch
Liked Great location
Well spaced out pitches
Disliked Don’t expect a warm welcome or any hospitality. Started out with a rude text exchange stating that we wouldn’t be able to arrive after 8pm (even if we were stuck in traffic) yet we saw people arrive after 8 while we were there. The owner is rude and abrasive as previously mentioned in other reviews.
Very expensive for what it is. Extra for dogs with nothing for them seems unreasonable. Not enough facilities, but I always found them pretty clean.
As previously mentioned the lack of hot water is an issue for the price.

From the manager: Check in times are clear on Pitchup so that you know when you book. However, you said that you were going to arrive after 9pm which is too late and disrupts the other campers. We have to have a cut off point! On arrival you were impatient and didn't seem interested in any information. Your partner posted a Google review which had to be removed by them but having read his other reviews there isn't a campsite anywhere that is good enough or suits you.

Perfect for the camper who loves a down to earth, rustic site
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Beautiful view! A very scenic ten minute walk along a coastal path takes you down to the heart of robin hood's bay, which is very convenient!
We were also able to quickly reach the nearby "cinder trail" cycle path, which is wide, well maintained and runs to Whitby and Scarborough.
The site is very quiet, with very spacious pitches, and a relaxed atmosphere.
Facilities are on the rustic side, which is to be expected, this is not trying to be an enormous campsite with loads of facilities on site, it's very deliberately small and friendly.
Disliked There were a two small niggles:
1. The bathroom doors don't shut properly, and my wife surprised some poor person in the bathroom
2. The shower is stuck on searingly hot. I thought this was awesome, but it is, understandably, not to everyone's taste.
Also, be aware that there is a strict policy that does not allow arrivals after 8pm. If you are travelling from away, you may need to set off in the morning, as arriving after work may be impossible.
