Grass and hardstanding pitches with stone access roads

General

  • Small family-run park on a 200-acre dairy farm with stunning views
  • In Wrelton, a five-minute drive from Pickering and Sinnington
  • Walks and cycles around the North York Moors straight from the site

Centrally located, easy to access and with far-reaching views over 200 acres of fields – Keld Knowle Farm Holidays is a convenient and scenic site for ticking off the top attractions of North Yorkshire.

This working dairy farm is in Wrelton on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, between the pretty villages of Sinnington and Pickering (five minutes’ drive). Wanders in dramatic landscapes can certainly be had around here, as you can head off on ambles or cycle rides right from the gates; one of the area’s best routes is a day-long journey through woods and fields with stop-offs at local watering holes along the way.

Don’t mind driving? Destinations within 10 minutes by car include Pickering Castle, the North York Moors Steam Railway and Beck Isle Museum. Horse riding is available close to the park too if you’d rather trot through the countryside.

Tuckered out after spending hours out in the open air? Return to the farm and settle in to watch the cows and tractors at work (safe in the knowledge you won’t be asked to give anyone a hand…).

This family-friendly site also does the basics right with stone roads for smooth driving, handy electric hook-ups and easy access to drinking water. A pub is in Wrelton for eats, and the village also has a bus stop and a play area; a well-serviced shop and petrol station are a couple of miles away in Middleton.

Please note

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

Group bookings of 3 or more units (e.g. tent, touring caravan, motorhome or accommodation hire) travelling together are not permitted via Pitchup.com.

No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

Bookings must not be for more than 28 consecutive nights.

This site has no on-site toilet and shower facilities.

The site caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.

Tents are not accepted at this park.

We didn't realise there was no shower block or toilets so it was very expensive considering we stayed at Burrs country park the following weekend with all facilities & lots of service points great walks & right next to the steam railway for less money.

From the manager...

Hello, thankyou for your review and i am sorry you were disappointed the shower block was not open but it does state in the 'please note' section there are no facilities. Hopefully we shall be able to open them soon. Karen.

lovely quiet spot, well laid out pitches each with electric and water.
Beautiful views, but close to town of Pickering.
Loved being on a working farm, watching the girls going in and out for milking.

Disposal points all fine, will be great when the toilets and showers are finished next year, but not a problem for us.

Set on a working farm, with lovely large pitches. Water was available at every pitch so no long hike with a water barrel.
Site was nice and quiet and tidy.
New showers and toilet block opening next year which would make a longer stay easier.
Nice area and very handy for visiting Scarborough.
Very easy to get to, especially while pulling a caravan.
Although we could hear road noise from the near by busy main road we were able to ignore it mostly.
