Quiet site. Large pitches.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Warm welcome when we arrived. The pitches were quiet and of a good size. Dark skies were good loads of shooting stars. Lovely views. Owner was very chatty and approachable. Location good for visiting North Yorkshire. Toilets and showers were clean with plenty of soap and loo roll.

Liked This campsite is very remote and quiet. It's exactly what we wanted. Away from everything. Well maintained.
Toilets were plentiful and clean.
The shower was clean and warm (£1 for 5 minutes - very reasonable. Just dont forget to bring some change).
Friendly owner.
Really enjoyed my stay here.

Great if you want a beautiful quiet campsite.
Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked I would rate this campsite 10/10 because the advertisement for facilities is honest so we were prepared for basic amenities, they were clean, checked regularly and positioned fairly for all users. The grounds were so well maintained and felt like a real step back into nature. The mature trees provide a fantastic canvas and you get the sense of nature all around. The site is quiet, good for families, but respect for others is at the centre of the owners principles. It matters to him that everyone leaves with happy memories, and we certainly did. Dogs can also go which was good, like all sites, they must be kept on a lead but that is to be expected.
Disliked Nothing, really enjoyed the time spent at this campsite.

Great secluded & quiet camping site.
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Great secluded camping site. We had a choice of where to pitch our tent and the owner was very helpful providing information and a power extension. Lovely quite spot where the kids were safe and could walk to the edge of the site and see the cows and sheep in the adjoining fields. Toilet and shower facilities were basic but clean – you need a £1 coin for the showers
Disliked One night was very noisy with screaming kids and barking dogs. The owner asked the loud party of people to move off the site the next day. All other days (4) where quiet and everyone else was respectful. Not the site owners fault and he delt with it as best he could.

We will stay again!
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Its a great place to get away from the crowds, 3 fields with 16 electrical outlets. Plenty of space between tents. Campsite is sited down a private drive about 200/300 metres away from the road. Hot showers cost £1 for five minutes. The area is full of wildlife, owls flying over at night, foxes calling and surrounding farmland. Andy is a great host with good local knowledge.
Disliked Apart from the Wood pigeons starting cooing at 430am. Can be a struggle in the morning using the showers as there are only two and it does take around 20 minutes to heat the water tank up if its been used up by the last user.
