Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked X2 parks for kids and thats it..!!
Disliked August 2026 ..
Prison in a field!!!
Absolutely appalling experience – would NOT recommend!
The site itself is beautiful, and the play areas were very good. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end.
My daughter had a scooter with her and was abruptly asked to “put it away.” When we questioned why, given that there were other electric bikes and people riding around, we were simply told, “Just do it, it’s the rules.” We complied, but the tone was rude and aggressive, setting the tone for the rest of the evening.
We had some friends visiting that evening. At 9pm, the “wardens” shone a torch into our awning whilst we were playing a family game of jenga and told us its quiet time as though we were naughty children. We respected the request turned the music down and quietly continued our evening, but felt extremely conscious of being watched.
At around 11pm, a night warden did the same thing again, telling us to go to bed!! We complied, but found this completely ridiculous on a bank holiday weekend. Quiet time at 11pm is understandable, but being told to go to bed is not.
We then woke up at 8am to the owner who's name i can only persume is Karen banging on our window and telling us we had to leave the site. Ridiculous!!!!!
As we were getting ready to leave, we were approached again by the owner Karens husband, slowly patrolling with his nose in the air in his range rover who aggressively told us to get off the site. The attitude was completely unnecessary and extremely disrespectful. We felt like criminals.
The previous reviews about this site speak volumes and have made us feel much better about the situation!! It is obviously not a friendly or welcoming site, and the owners behave more like prison wardens.
God forbid you smile, laugh or crack open a beer on your holiday!
We then went to a different campsite, and thankfully we did not let this experience ruin our bank holiday. That site was wonderful.
A beautiful site means absolutely nothing if customers are going to be treated like this.
Would I recommend this campsite? Absolutely not. Unless you want to spend your holiday being watched, accused, spoken to rudely and potentially kicked off the site, I would strongly suggest going elsewhere.
There are plenty of other campsites where you can actually relax and enjoy your holiday without being treated with such disrespect.

From the manager: Thank you for your review.
Electric bikes/scooters are not allowed on site.
Your version of events are slightly different to ours. You were actually making noise and disturbing customers/wardens till 4.10am not 11pm as you suggested, that's why you were asked to leave.
Great stay, would happily return.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Warm welcome on arrival and able to change easily from a non electric to an electric pitch which was perfectly positioned for the toilet block and just far enough away from the park for the house to not impact a bit quiet time. The site is well maintained and clean. Strict evening noise restrictions are in place, which is great when trying to get children settled for the night and site manager not afraid to end people stay if rules not adhered to. We'd happily go back.
Disliked Another hand dryer in the women's toilets would be welcomed.

I will be back!
Electric grass pitch
Liked I visited as a single mum for three nights with a 9 and 12 year old.
On arrival, the security gate system gave me added reassurance that the site would be safe for me alone with children.
I was welcomed onto the site and given clear instructions on how to find my pitch, which was perfectly located.
During the stay we visited the shop daily, which was well stocked, a little pricey but as expected.
The toilets and showers were spacious and cleaned regularly. The washing-up area was modern and covered.
The play parks were well positioned and just the right amount of equipment. Football goals and a basketball hoop added to the available activities.
For a deposit and small payment there was also pool, air hockey and table tennis available in an indoor area which we spent around an hour doing one afternoon.
There were a few groups that were a little loud until 10.30ish, but we did hear the warden tell them it was time to settle down.
The fish and chip van visited one evening too, which made for an easy teatime!
This was a positive camping experience and I will certainly return and recommend to others.
Disliked I think the main down side for me would be the prices in the shop.
I had work to do, so paying extra for wifi was a little annoying too.
The fish and chip van was great, so having other visiting food vans would work really well- especially in school holidays: pizzas would have been perfect! Perhaps there is a takeaway nearby that may link up and do deliveries to the entrance as an option?

Won’t ever visit again
Electric grass pitch
Liked Well kept site.
Disliked Paying extra for the worst mini golf ever, paying extra for the WiFi, paying extra for a second car. Paying extra to use debit card in the shop (minimum £5 spend)
Two men having sex in a cubicle. Bad enough but there were children were in the toilet block. Not the sites fault that one.

Electric grass pitch
Liked Loved the friendly welcome, great customer service and help and support throughout the stay, and advice as a first time caravaner.
Super facilities and really clean shower and toilet block with lovely hot water - even my 2 young girls enjoyed showering
Well stocked shop at good prices too
Disliked Nothing to dislike. Internet was great value and good coverage on site - just need to remember its best used for email and surfing; it doesn't handle a large amount of streaming/film watching

Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Absolutely loved this place. The staff were amazing, borrowing us an electrical hook up when ours was too small. There’s so much for the children to do, perfectly clean facilities and large pitches. What more can I say!! Other than we will be back again soon
