Liked Just come back from 3 days camping. The site is excellent, showers and toilets were very clean, hot water for the showers. The pitch was perfect and we had everything we needed, a well stocked shop and fabulous friendly staff. Would definitely go back
Disliked Nothing

Site is exactly as advertised

Liked Requested a quiet area as we don’t have kids yet so didn’t want to be near the play park which was accommodated. Facilities and site were clean, ANPR for entry and exit secured the site a bit more so felt safer I imagine for families with small children.
Our dog is our baby and a spaniel needs exercise, there is two dog walk areas, one is a big field which we appreciate as they could have just put more camp spaces but haven’t.
Disliked The shorter loop dog walk sign goes from grass walk through to a forested part which had a wire fence so lead to basically nothing? People had smashed the fence down so you could walk over it and make a loop back to the camp site but seemed a bit odd.
Nothing the site can do but oh my trying to get tent pegs and wind break into the ground which was so dry was very difficult, make sure you’ve got a good hammer and a strong man.

Liked Great place for a family getaway!
A spacious campsite with plenty of room – it was easy to find a comfortable spot. There are two large playgrounds on site, which were a big hit with the kids. The toilets and showers were very clean and well-maintained.
Due to its location on a hill, it can get a bit windy, but it wasn’t a problem for us.
We had a fantastic weekend – there are lots of interesting places to visit in the area. Highly recommended!

Would definitely come back but with drill in tent pegs

Liked Lovely site with clean toilet/shower block.
Shop which was reasonably priced and well stocked.
Lovely play area for the children right near our pitch and another one at the other end of the park.
Tent pitches were a really good size.
Disliked Ridiculously hard ground with stones in the grass and in the ground, making it really difficult to get even heavy duty pegs in and out.
Would benefit from lights on the electric hook up for safety.

Disgrace, over priced rabbit warren
Powered grass campsite
Liked Leaving.
Disliked 01439 788269.
Absolute disgrace of customer service from start to finish.
Attitude after asking the barrier to be lifted, questioning, where i work, how long it takes to get there, then still refusing to lift bartier before 7am. Then puts phone down.
The pitch i originally was allocated, riddled with rabbits, the whole site is over run with rabbits, warrens and droppings everhwhere.
Nothing better than returning to you tent to find droppings outside.
The next pitch given, on a slope, uneven rock hard astroturf, ruined 50% of mi pegs.
Over priced, unkept pitch. 5 star rating, must of been blind, stupid or friend to give it that rating. £35 a night total rip off for the standard i saw. As an auditor,i have a keen eye to detail, this site lacked alot.
Id ask for a refund, bit, they have your money, so they dont provide a service or site fit enough to ask that rate. Basically your just a name on a booking sheet

From the manager: Hi Peter,
Thank you for your recent stay and for taking the time to share your feedback.
As clearly indicated upon entry to the park, the barrier is locked from 11:30 PM to 7:00 AM. This policy is in place to ensure all guests enjoy a peaceful and undisturbed night. For those who anticipate needing to exit the site during these hours, we recommend using the designated late arrivals area for parking.
Please be assured that it is never our intention to end a call abruptly. However, the barrier system includes an automatic disconnection feature after a short duration, which can unfortunately cut the call unexpectedly.
Regarding your comments about wildlife, our park is situated in the countryside, and the presence of local wildlife—such as rabbits—is part of the natural environment. We appreciate that there are more than usual this season, but due to the site's open status, control measures are limited at this time.
Our location on a former quarry brings many benefits, including varied elevation, which helps the site feel more spacious and allows for efficient drainage—particularly useful in British weather. While we are on a quarry, we have levelled the pitches. We do recommend the use of rock pegs as noted on our website.
Thank you again for your feedback. We hope this clarifies our policies and the nature of the site.
Lovely little park, well run and would definitely recommend

Liked Nice and tidy, well kept park, reasonable priced little shop
Disliked Location is great if you have transport, once we set up our van we had no transport, taxis were expensive but a lovely little town nonetheless, is the only negative and that's more my fault than the park

Liked Stayed for a weekend and the staff were so lovely, helpful and cheery. The facilities were amazing…modern, clean, plenty of room and despite the site being very busy, you never had to wait for showers or anything like that. Washing up area was luxurious with loads of posters up about the local area. The playgrounds were a massive hit with my 11 year old. Pitch sizes were generous.
Disliked Really really hard ground which was full of rocks. You definitely need rock pegs at this site. Other than that, it was a lovely site. No free WiFi like many sites I’ve been too. Shame but not essential.
