Discover How Stean Gorge Step into nature and discover How Stean Gorge. Wander along the footpaths, negotiate the wobbly bridges and venture through caves. As you make your way along the spectacular steep-sided gorge, water rushes over large rocks, constantly carving them into fantastic shapes. Fossils from a bygone age are there for you to discover and wildlife is in abundance throughout the seasons. Outdoor Activities How Stean have great outdoor activities, fun for all the family. For the adrenaline junkies out there, we have selected some of our top activities to create amazing outdoor adventure packages. For larger groups we can cater for up to 40 at a time in the gorge and 16 on the new ultimate via ferrata. Licensed Cafe Fresh, home-made Yorkshire fare is served within the licensed cafe. The summer opening hours for the café is 9am till 6pm. Last orders for food are taken at 5 o’clock however, we can take groups of 10 people or over for early evening meals if booked in advance. During the summer school holiday the café is open for breakfast from 9am on Saturdays and Sundays.
