  • Small, friendly and family-run holiday park
  • A five-minute drive from the seaside town of Bridlington
  • Café serving all-day breakfast and Sunday roasts
Park Rose Village is a small, family-oriented and friendly holiday park just three miles from the seaside town of Bridlington. It's in the same village as Bridlington Animal Park, an award-winning centre with birds of prey and an animal park. At this park, there are activities throughout the season including flying displays, falconry classes, small animal holding and donkey rides; you'll probably reckon the pig racing is a right hoot too… (Please note that the centre is owned and managed independently from the site and that there are admission charges.) The Park Rose café on site serves breakfast from 10am, and also has homemade cakes and scones, lunches and dinners, and succulent Sunday roasts. A shower block is also available.

What customers say

This is a mixed-use site with a large number of seasonal pitches. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff, good location near Bridlington, and the on-site cafe and shop. The resident peacocks are a popular attraction. However, several reviews highlight issues with dated and unclean toilet/shower facilities, requiring tokens and sometimes experiencing code lock failures. Some guests also mention poor site maintenance, untidy areas, and a lack of privacy. A few reviews express disappointment with pitch quality and the overall upkeep of the touring areas.

Old Pottery electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked There was nothing to like at this site!!

Disliked Cost £31.50 for 1 night stay. All pitches we seen, were residential, with what looked like only 1 space for a motorhome stay. A residential caravan had parked their car in our space which was on the very end!! The man did move his car and was friendly. Was no directions where to park up. Had to report to the residential café! Only knew to ask for shower token from reading past reviews!! Asked for 2, woman on reception said, I only have 1!! Cost £1 for 5 mins!! Toilets were really old, out of the 70's, very poor & very dated, toilet seat was old! I had shower in the women's! Shower cubicle was dirty, floor all dirty. I kept my socks on not to catch any verruccas! I used 1 token, just going wash conditioner off hair, time ran out. I put another £1 token in only to find it was counting down but shower wouldn't turn back on. Hot water tap did not work, sink was stinking!! Didn't use toilet as too dirty and smelt and never used shower following morning. Unable to report to woman in café as didnt open until 10.30am. Had be off site by 10:00am!! Unable to find grey waste anywhere! No one available to ask!! Wouldn't advise anyone to stop at this site, lucky we'd only booked 1 night!! Plenty of other beautiful sites around Bridlington! Definitely only give 1 star!!

Old Pottery electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked It was quiet, i got a phone call about 15:30pm asking where we were, we was about 5 minutes away, we was told to go towards "late arrival " a lovely gentleman waved at us and said " watch your caravan on the post loads have hit their caravan on it " ( it wouldn't take much to move it back a foot and if they are aware of it then why not move it ) the pitch was long enough for our twin wheeler.

Disliked The gravel on the pitch is very ruff to go over, the jockey wheel dropped down as a result, we were to late to get to tokens for the showers, it looked like everyone around us was seasonal pitch's there was a big tree stump at the side of the caravan, only place to park my car was straight across the front of the caravan, the grass at the side was soaked, It was easier to get the caravan out, pity they are more intrested in seasonal rather than tourers toilets need sorting out and toilet paper in toilets

Old Pottery electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked The staff are friendly & helpful . Nice to have a café & a pound stretcher near for something to eat or if you have forgotten something. Was handy for going to Bridlington which was a good walk( 2 Hours for me) but you can catch the bus there if you wish . Animal farm next to it as well which is good.

Disliked Not a dislike but some of the caravans on site could do with a clean & tidy . Quite a few long stay one's by the look. Toilet block clean but could do with a refresh.

Old Pottery electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked The greeting on arrival at the Reception was pleasant and we were direct to and met in person at our allocated pitch.

We were provided with a very informative welcome information sheet which was a big tick for us.

The pitch was clean and well kept.

Road noise was not noticeable and the site was very peaceful.

Very useful having a Pound Stretcher shop on site.

The roaming Peacocks from the Bridlington Animal Park which shares the site were nice to see.

Disliked The shower and toilet facilities weren't extensive.

Only 2 separate toilets and 2 shower room available for the section that we were allocated to.

The cafe opening times - Sat 10:30 - 15:30, we arrived on site at 15:00 so we didn't have the chance to try their wares.

Camping pod (no pets)

Liked We stayed during storm Amy and it was very cozy even while the wind and rain was pressing outside. This was our second time we stayed and it was fantastic. The kids absolutely loved it and for the price you couldn't go wrong.

Local attractions

Go coastwards to Bridlington and its Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve with over 200,000 chattering seabirds or have a more serene time sampling the town’s famous shellfish; get gothic in Whitby or amuse yourself at the funfair in Filey, where there’s another bird garden and animal park if the one at Park Rose has given the kids the beasties bug. For beachcombers, the main beach at Bridlington also has a land train, the Bridlington Eye and waxworks at the Beside The Seaside Experience Museum; the quieter Fraisthorpe Beach, to the south of Bridlington, is dog-friendly all year round. Head inland from here for the North York Moors, one of the biggest stretches of heather moorland in the country: explore by bike, on foot or from the North York Moors Railway which puffs through 18 miles of spectacular scenery. For kid-friendly fare, Bridlington and the surrounding areas are well-placed for family days out, with beaches, play centres and farms among more; take a trip to Dalby Forest for the day for some orienteering or swinging among the trees at Go Ape. Theme parks in the area include the knuckle-clenching rides and extensive zoo at Malton’s Flamingo Land, swashbuckling and raptor attacks at Ripon’s Lightwater Valley, and more birds of prey at Thirsk’s Sion Hill Hall.
