General

  • Free on-site fishing lake stocked with carp, tench and roach
  • Free access to a nine-hole golf course
  • Extensive views over the Yorkshire Wolds

You'll find high-up views over the Yorkshire Wolds from this rural site: sits up on 130 acres of parkland and woodland with sweeping views over the surrounding countryside.

Newly opened in 2016 and six miles from Beverley, the farm has set up several facilities for guests looking for a peaceful parkside time, including a two-acre fishing lake stocked with carp, tench, roach and perch; a nine-hole par 3 golf course, a bowling green, a play area and a boules rink. Pets are welcome.

The park has used eco-friendly materials aplenty in its amenities building, which uses a ground source heat pump powered by solar photovoltaic panels for its underfloor heating and a rainwater harvesting system gathering water to flush the toilets. The building is made from sustainably-sourced timber and has its own effluent treatment plant.

Essentials are sorted at the site shop, and there's also a launderette.

We were greeted with a beautifully kept site in lovely surroundings on our arrival. Once at reception which was easy to locate we received a friendly smile and clear instructions on where to find our electric pitch for camping. The pitch itself was level but maybe a little close to others but this didn't bother us. There is some road noise but it didn't bother us in the slightest and we slept well. The site has plenty of animals, a nature trail, lakes and small park area to keep the young ones entertained. My daughter loved it here and made plenty of friends whilst enjoying what was on offer. We were very impressed with the clean block for the toilets/ power showers and washing up area as they were absolutely spotless.

Unfortunately I kind of expected hair drying facilities so didn't take a hair dryer. This was OK for me as I just let my hair dry naturally, however I didn't want to shower my daughter on a night and risk her going to bed with wet hair so only washed it once during our stay on a morning. Take a hair dryer!

Aldi was approx 8 minutes away so great for a quick shopping trip. We went to relax so only visited Hornsea on a few occasions. We enjoyed visiting Freeport and my daughter loved the Beach Cove Children's play area but it can get very busy and on occasions people are turned away. She also visited the bug place with her elder brother but they didn't seem to stay in long.

A great site for families we will definitely be returning! We were supposed to stay 4 nights however we only stayed for three. This was due to checking out the weather for the next day and not wanting to take everything down in horrendous thunder storms, typical English weather!!! Was nothing to do with the site (19th-22nd Aug 17). First time campers consisting of 2 adults/17 yr old/8 yr old Family. PS... We are on three network and we had signal on site.

Everything. We love this site, we are new to caravaning and have already stayed at this site twice in a month we have just returned with our family memebers as can't praise the site enough. Handy for visiting the local coastal towns and Beverly. Lovely staff and always something for the kids to do, fishing, walking round nature trail, visiting the animals, golfing or a bit of bat spotting on an evening walk around the dog field.
Toilets and showers are always spotless. Good size and level pitches. Sure we will be returning next year.

Only thing I found was exiting the site as the main road is quite difficult to get onto to turn right as it's very busy but otherwise
    Very nice place.

toilet block is nice and clean, also warm when you come out of the shower.free fishing which we enjoyed. the kids enjoyed the playpark for a few days (after rain it became water logged, so unusable).

    Disliked:

ok where to start..... got flooded in the awning so we were paddling in mud and water for 4 days, did go to reception to ask about the drainage, but they said drainage was fine and we could move pitch( was told later there was no drainage in place and always floods) kids enjoyed playing in the huge pool of water that had formed on the hard standing pitches tho, until they came and pumped it away.
no wi-fi, got told the mast went down, but was given the password for the cottages, again tho didnt work ( seems to be a ongoing issue)
only 6amp for the electrics, so kept tripping
signs for the country walk a bit confusing, followed one way and came to a dead end, then went past a dumping ground

The historic East Riding town of Beverley is a handy six miles from , and is home to Beverley Racecourse and Beverley Minster as well as shops, restaurants, pubs and a busy market. (And Britain's oldest state school: Beverley Grammar School has been in the education game since around 700AD.)

If you're feeling beachy, the coastal town of Hornsea is within easy reach; if cultural, have a day in Hull, named UK City of Culture for 2017.
