General

  • Free on-site fishing lake stocked with carp, tench and roach
  • Free access to a nine-hole golf course
  • Extensive views over the Yorkshire Wolds

You'll find high-up views over the Yorkshire Wolds from this rural site: sits up on 130 acres of parkland and woodland with sweeping views over the surrounding countryside.

Newly opened in 2016 and six miles from Beverley, the farm has set up several facilities for guests looking for a peaceful parkside time, including a two-acre fishing lake stocked with carp, tench, roach and perch; a nine-hole par 3 golf course, a bowling green, a play area and a boules rink. Pets are welcome.

The park has used eco-friendly materials aplenty in its amenities building, which uses a ground source heat pump powered by solar photovoltaic panels for its underfloor heating and a rainwater harvesting system gathering water to flush the toilets. The building is made from sustainably-sourced timber and has its own effluent treatment plant.

Essentials are sorted at the site shop, and there's also a launderette.

A little gem! Excellent site with immaculate facilities. Super staff 17/09/2017

This site is approx 1 year old. It is reached by a long beautiful tree-lined drive, far enough off the main road not to hear the traffic, adjacent to the country park's 9 hole golf course. The gravel pitches are level and very spacious with surrounding grass and far enough away from the next pitch to have some privacy. There is no hedge planting between the pitches, nor any mature trees which is the only downfall, but again, the site is in it's infancy. The toilet and shower facilities were absolutely immaculate. Within the Country Park are two fabulous lakes, a fishing lake and a nature lake. A walk around these lakes takes around half hour and the scenery is absolutely stunning. There is a superb children's playground and pets corner. This was one of the friendliest sites I've stayed at. The staff were incredibly accommodating and the little on site shop provided all the necessities. Beverley is a short drive away and the site is perfectly located for exploring the coastal villages. We will definitely return.

    Disliked:

Access to the touring site is direct, there is no barrier like there is to the main country park lodges, which would add security to the site.
    No hairdrying facilities.
Lack of hedge / tree planting on touring caravan site.

Local attractions

The historic East Riding town of Beverley is a handy six miles from , and is home to Beverley Racecourse and Beverley Minster as well as shops, restaurants, pubs and a busy market. (And Britain's oldest state school: Beverley Grammar School has been in the education game since around 700AD.)

Within nine miles is The Deep at Kingston upon Hull, a huge aquarium that's one of the biggest in Britain: head here to see over 3500 fish and many marine species (penguins!), and for many family-friendly activities like dive shows and penguin feeding.

If you're feeling beachy, the coastal town of Hornsea is within easy reach; if cultural, have a day in Hull, named UK City of Culture for 2017.
