Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked: Very peaceful . Lovely views . Jacky , Amy , Glynn and Simon all go out of their way to make your stay special . Spotless toilet and shower block . The Curlew Cafe is really cosy with a good menu , well worth a visit . Weather wasn’t the best and the animal paddocks were closed and the play park was waterlogged . But that was no fault of the owners . You can’t predict the weather ! It’s still a lovely campsite for a relaxing stay .

Disliked: Nothing to dislike ( apart from the weather )

From the manager: Thank you for being our guests and for taking the time to leave your review. It was a pleasure to host your stay. We are very disappointed to not have the animal paddocks open yet. For our animals welfare the ground conditions need to be much drier. Next time you visit we hope you all can see them enjoying their beautiful outdoor spaces.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked: I can’t say enough good things about this site. The owners were fantastic and the cafe on site was brilliant & we ate there several days. We had a lot of rain during our stay but the pitches were really well drained. The animals weren’t out in the paddocks during our stay due to the rubbish weather, but the kids still got the chance to feed them and interact with them. Fab toilet block; clean and well cared for, Honestly I can’t recommend this site enough! Good TV signal, and good 4G signal on EE and Sky mobile. So much to see and do nearby. Thank you all so much for a brilliant stay.

Disliked: My only fear is that it will be fully booked next time we want to visit!

From the manager: Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this review. We were so disappointed to have not had the paddocks open fully for your stay. Fingers crossed for some nice weather for your next stay with us. I will pass on your message to our staff who will be pleased to hear their efforts helped you to have a great Easter break. Hope to see you again in the future.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked: Wonderful little campsite, beautiful views to be enjoyed too. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Lovely on-site cafe/shop which does nice breakfasts, homemade cakes, savouries etc. The facilities were great, nice and clean, and as we were the only visitors on site we were offered use of the accessible wet room which was nice and warm and spacious, the only slight little niggle was the toilet flush wasn’t great in there but that’s only a minor thing. We had a lovely break away and I would thoroughly recommend this site to anyone wishing to holiday in Co Durham.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked: The tranquil site. Very very friendly service from all the staff, nothing was too much trouble. The cafe is superb and the cakes are to die for. I hope the donkey has had her foal by now

Disliked: The showers were clean and well kept however , I feel there should be somewhere to put toiletries and somewhere to sit even in the family room. A basin with a plug would also be nice.
