Fully-serviced grass touring pitch

Liked: Peaceful site with stunning views. Pitches spaced out nicely and all fully serviced. Sandra is an asset, very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Lots of walks around site, has a hut with a few nice food items to buy such as eggs and jam but also has lots of information on local area and places to visit. Love the site and we have it on our short list to return.

Disliked: Nothing

Fully-serviced grass touring pitch

Liked: Wonderful views over woods, corn fields and wild meadows; Plenty of space between pitches; The peace and quiet of the setting; Having water on tap right by the pitch. Ditto the grey water disposal point; Sandra's welcome and support; The cabin with essential supplies with an honesty box as well as leaflets on local activities etc; Proximity to Wickham Market and all its facilities; Proximity to fabulous country lanes for cycling: such a pleasure!

Disliked: Poor 4G phone signal and zero wifi

From the manager: Many thanks for your thorough and kind review which is very much appreciated - Often guests arriving at Glevering comment they have read our reviews, like other campsites I'm sure, we are very grateful for guests to have taken the trouble to write them. Apologies for the poor 4G phone signal- even the wifi in my home and office has had problems of late which has been more than a little annoying. BT came out last week but I'm not sure they have resolved the problem so back on phone again tomorrow. 4G has always been ok but looking into that too! Hopefully able to welcome you both back to Glevering again. Many thanks

Liked: The view is beautiful, super quiet had had a stressful week so it was perfect , lovely pub The White Horse Easton only 5 mins away in the car around a mile on foot , had a pint and lunch there very tasty and well presented, The owner is very friendly came and had a chat , I must say one of the most chilled out site owners I have ever met nothing was a problem , the fully serviced pitch is perfect as it save all the hassle of emptying and refilling.more tine ro enjoy the views not having toilets and shower was not a problem as I have these attached to my caravan. Will definitely stay again .

Disliked: Nothing

From the manager: Wow Steven. Thank you so much for your lovely review - very much appreciated The White Horse is a popular pub and enjoyed, seemingly without exception, by all our guests. Think you were here with the improved weather after a pretty awful June and July - lovely to see the sun again and the evening sunsets over the trees Look forward to welcoming you on a return trip -best wishes

Liked: Amazing views and great hostess

From the manager: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. Toilet and shower facilities aren't on the agenda I'm afraid as we are a small site and really isn't justifiable. It seems even the smallest caravan / motor home have their own amazing facilities that providing them is not necessary. Many thanks for sending a positive review and very much hope we can welcome you back again

Fully-serviced grass touring pitch

Liked: Sandra gives a very personal touch. I was kept informed with an email from herself. Then on the day a text message. When we arrived Sandra came and greeted in person, fully explaining everything to us. It’s beautiful and peaceful, just what we needed. We never went on the walks as we just wanted to relax. But all the walks are numbered and well routed. Sandra even came round the next day to see if we were ok and needed anything, even bringing me back some ice. Thank you for making our stay perfect. We will be back 🥰

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Many thanks Jayne for such a positive review which is very much appreciated. Always lovely to hear your stay at Glevering relaxing, perhaps venture on the walks next time, especially the one to the local pub where all our guests have enjoyed their suppers or Sunday lunch with return saunter. Look forward to seeing you both again and thank you again Jayne

Local attractions

From the meadow, you can follow mapped paths and quiet lanes around the estate to cafés, surrounding villages and local pubs. Plenty of quiet cycling routes are available too, and bikes (including electric models) are available to hire if you fancy touring on two wheels. One of the main local draws is Snape Maltings (15 minutes' drive), an arts centre established by Benjamin Britten with a packed schedule of concerts and exhibitions. Aldeburgh (25 minutes), meanwhile, has its own festival in early summer, and is a cracking little seaside town to visit any time of year, full of indie boutiques and top restaurants. The Suffolk coastline is renowned for its beaches and sand dunes, with swims, walks and picnics all possible in the surrounding area. Popular picks include the shingle beach at Thorpeness (25 minutes), Walberswick (35 minutes) at the mouth of the river Blyth and Southwold (40 minutes) with its welcoming sandy beach.
