  • Family-friendly site next door to a well-established Suffolk farm park
  • A 15-minute drive from Woodbridge; half an hour from the Suffolk coast
  • Family-friendly country pub a 10-minute stroll away
With friendly animals to ruffle and family train rides to take, it’s no wonder that numerous nippers (and a good handful of grownups, to be fair) have expressed a desire to take up residence when visiting a farm park. And here at Suffolk’s Easton Farm Park they can do (almost) exactly that. While the animals take a bit of an overnight rest from the constant adoration, guests can pitch up in the fields right next door, ready to get back in for more farmyard action the following day. (And as a special treat, those staying here can sashay in and out of the park as much as they like once they’ve paid a single entry fee…) The folk here have been welcoming guests to their gorgeous little rural spot for 40 years or so, learning a thing or two about what makes a good stay along the way – as a result, the bathroom facilities here are particularly fine, with bonus points for such things as underfloor heating and plenty of mirrors in the ladies’ section. The dog-friendly site has Barrel Bug safari and family train rides for families too. Finishing up a farm day with a barbecue or campfire is a fine idea, if that’s what you fancy (both are allowed on site); there’s also a family-friendly country pub a 10-minute stroll away in the village of Easton, for evenings when you’d rather have someone else sort the eats for you while you partake of a local ale or few.

What customers say

This is a highly recommended, spacious, and clean campsite with excellent facilities, including modern showers and toilets, some even with baths. Many visitors highlight the friendly and helpful staff. The adjoining farm is a significant attraction, offering plenty for children and animals to see and interact with, often with unlimited access. While generally peaceful, some reviews mention noise from large groups or early morning animals. Limited hot water during busy periods, some issues with WiFi reaching pitches, and a few reports of uneven pitches are noted.

Electric grass pitch

Liked We had a great couple of days here and managed to get two pitches next to each other. It’s quite a small site, which was lovely — we could clearly see the play area from our tent. Our pitch was on a bit of an incline, so we had to strategically place the beds to avoid rolling off!

The donkeys and ducks are a little noisy in the morning, but that’s all part of the fun. Toilets were only a couple of minutes’ walk away, which was handy. It’s a simple, no-fuss site — we just drove straight in, pitched up, and didn’t need any interaction with the site team. Electric hook-up was within easy reach, and the toilets were as clean as possible considering the heavy usage. The grass was a little long but thankfully dried out quickly.

Highly recommend getting farm tickets — it’s great to be able to pop in for a play on the playground or to grab a coffee.

Electric grass pitch

Liked The farm was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful, enabling children to engage with the animals. Camping facilities were clean and the family room with a bath was a real advantage with small children.

Disliked Hot water in the shower blocks was inconsistent but manageable. Our final night was a little disturbed by teenagers playing loudly past midnight on the play equipment which is situated in the middle of the camp site. Would not stop us visiting again however.

Electric grass pitch

Liked The park, staff, layout and list of things to do were amazing. The facilities were clean and plentiful including family bathroom which with three young boys was a real life saver. The laundrette and fridge freezer room was really well laid out and a great space. The farm itself was ace and really fun. A really wonderful place to stay for 2-4 days.

Disliked The WiFi and phone signal was really hit and miss and at times frustrating but to be expected. The prices on the farm was excessive for instance lunch for 6 people ( 3 kids and 3 adults came to over £60) and in the shop seemed horribly over priced for instance ketchup for £4.50 and lighter fluid for £8.50 seemed way to inflated. Also the shop didn’t have a lot of camping based essentials I.e milk and wash stuff. Other than that wonderfully run site.

Liked Spacious site.
Good basic wc block.
Quiet location.
Unlimited access to farm when you buy a wristband.
Small park for small children in middle of field.

Disliked A lot of pitches are on slopes so best to call and ask for specific pitch.
Check in was lacking Information, we arrived around 5.30pm, reception was closed, no warden telephone number to call when we had issue with pitch.
No instruction on pitch layout or border to pitch.
Hot water limited when site busy, they do note this in the shower block so a known issue.
Lots of wasps but that is nature, so take precaution.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Proximity to the farm is great; kids loved having donkey neighbours!! Lots of space to spread out and for kids to play and a small play park on the campsite. Great that you can have campfires.

Disliked The toilets were in good condition when we arrived but it was clear they were not cleaned for our stay (4 nights.) there were only about 5 other pitches being used but you could see toilets themselves not being cleaned, loo roll running out and bins overflowing by then end of the 4 nights. Only 1 sink in the washing up area had hot water; the others run cold or Luke warm. The onsite shop/ shed was not open and looked dirty and run down and empty. Notice/help board not updated since Easter (this was mid July.) The weather cannot be helped - it was disappointing for the kids however that activities not ongoing in the park on the first couple of rainy days. It felt like we were there off season although it was July. There was a leak in the soft play area, signs falling down and not replaced and ice cream stand not open and needed and clean and a paint. This was not a cheap stay and entrance to the park is cost on top, so we really expected more for what was paid.

Local attractions

Attractions don’t really come much closer than having a farm park right next door… and Easton Farm Park’s a well-established one with a café, a giant jumping pillow, an indoor soft play area and a green trail that’s great for spotting some of the nature around the 30-acre site. Plus, of course, there’s a friendly bunch of horses, sheep, pigs, cows, goats and chickens to make pals with. If there’s one thing that might tempt the tiddlers away from the farm’s charms, it’s surely a trip to the beach – it’ll take about half an hour to drive over to the Suffolk coast for fish and chips on the beach in Aldeburgh, or to paddle boats on the lake at Thorpeness Meare. Suffolk’s so heavily tied up with farming history that it’s even got its own breed of horse, which you can admire over at the Suffolk Punch Trust in Woodbridge (15 minutes’ drive). While you’re over there, have a stroll around the smart pile at Sutton Hoo and play with the interactive exhibits at the Tide Mill museum.
