What customers say
This peaceful, rural campsite is praised for its spacious, level pitches, cleanliness of facilities and proximity to a welcoming village pub. Visitors highlight the friendly, helpful owner and the enjoyable animal feeding experiences. While most found the site well-maintained, a few noted occasional issues with shower block cleanliness and chemical toilet blockages, which the manager has addressed. Poor Wi-Fi and mobile signal are noted due to the remote location.

Great location
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Great location with an easy walk down to the pub. Lovely walks into the forest. Nice having the animals around on site.... Lovely for children. Nice and quiet at night no road noise.
Disliked Showers blocks were dirty and didn't appear to be attended during our stay. Site looks a bit sad and unkempt.... Maybe it's end of season blues.

From the manager: Thank you for your review. I am glad you enjoyed the peaceful, quiet location of the campsite and the animals - they are a big hit with the children.
Sorry you found the shower blocks to be not as clean as we would like them to be. We do clean them every day but especially in bad weather they can get dirty again quite quickly. Most people comment on how clean they are so I am sorry that your experience was not as good.
Hope to see you again soon

Fabulous site. Great pub nearby.
Electric grass pitch
Liked Location, size of pitch, cafe, animals on site, free range chickens, walks from site, dog friendly, welcoming, hard working site owner
Disliked Someone else had parked on our pitch. Soon resolved without issue. Grass pitches were starting to get a bit bald in places, Chemical disposal was blocked but soon cleared by a resident on site.
Toilets and showers could do with more regular and thorough cleaning but were fine.

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely review. I am glad you enjoyed staying on the campsite and sharing the space with the animals!
We are on sandy ground in a really dry part of the country so towards the end of summer the grass does wither away a bit, but luckily it always comes back the next year or when it rains!
I have been having an issue with the chemical toilet being blocked as someone put some kind of non-disposable cloths down it and they are stuck in the horizontal pipe. I have managed to get most of them out, but not all and they are still causing blockages every now and again. The sewage people are coming in a few days and I hope that with their help we can resolve any ongoing blockages.
Hope to see you again soon

From the manager: Thank you for your thoughtful review. I am glad you enjoyed the peaceful location and the chickens. In addition to the main toilet blocks which are for everyone we have another toilet block with separate facilities for men and women - it is the green toilet block.

Electric grass pitch
Liked A lovely campsite with plenty of space, peaceful and clean facilities. There is a good woodland/heathland at the back of the campsite for dog walking and plenty of quiet footpaths nearby. Also, great for star gazing!
Clare was very welcoming and sends an email early on your first day, giving the details of your pitch number.
Disliked You’ll need a 25m cable (not 20m) as some pitches are quite far from the connection point.

From the manager: Thank you so much for your lovely review. I am so pleased you had a good time at the campsite and enjoyed all the beautiful countryside around us.
Some of the pitches are quite far from the hook-up points, but I always have 25 metre cables I am happy to lend to people with shorter ones.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked The campsite was nicely situated in a quiet area of Suffolk with a lovely pub just a short walk away.
The facilities were well maintained and regularly cleaned throughout our stay.
The owner was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived.
A particular highlight was when the farm opened up to the children on the weekend and our son had the chance to pet and feed the animals.
We missed out on the Friday pizza night but will definitely be coming back for it another time.
Overall a very lovely stay, well priced and somewhere we would happily come back to.
