Liked: Lovely quiet well kept site. Small hedges round each pitch. Good sized pitches. Water tap on the pitch which was great! Toilets and showers clean. Family / accessible shower room with a bath and toilet. Really lovely place to stay
Disliked: Nothing to dislike except the WiFi not very good a lot of the time, but had 4G on phone

Liked: Spacious, reasonably level grass pitches with low level hedging separating each pitch. 16 in total. Free WiFi. Liked hut/shed with facilities for campers, info etc on site. Very friendly email received & booking easy too. A popular, busy site
Disliked: Ladies shower block had 2 loos & 2 showers. Needs a little TLC. Cleaned, but didn't smell fresh or welcoming. The mop & bucket needs to be emptied & kept somewhere other than the ladies' shower block as grey water & dirty mop & bucket looked & smelt unpleasant.Yuk! Decided against showering here. No plastic chair/stool in either shower cubicle needed to put clothes on & keep things dry. A notice on the entrance door that says "Please keep door closed", so facilities are more private & not so cold would help too. Or a closing door mechanism. Little things, but essential really. Some nice smelling antiseptic floor & loo cleaner needed. Otherwise site was well kept. Very convenient for Sutton Hoo.

From the manager: I am glad you liked our site and only sorry you didn't find the shower room up to your standard. The bucket and mop is changed daily and is there so that people can mop the floor of the shower after they have used it. Within the family/disabled shower room the heating was on and there is more room to change. We do try to keep the doors shut and have put a soft close unit on the Gents shower block door. However, within the ladies Shower block there wasn't enough room to do this, so we rely on people shutting the door behind them. I will look into perfumed cleaners, but since COVID we have been advised to only use bleach. Thank you for your feed back.

Liked: Easy access - our motorhome is very large, but we had no problem driving onto the pitch. Facilities were very clean and there was plentiful, very hot water. The campsite is only a short stroll from the National Trust Sutton Hoo site, which is very interesting. Chilli & Spice in Martlesham deliver curry via Just Eats for £3, it was delicious. Helen was very friendly and came over to introduce herself and make sure we had settled in OK.
Disliked: Whilst there was wifi available it didn’t quite reach our pitch.

Liked: Loved the place and the owner. Really felt welcome and was accommodated when we needed something. We’ve already organised our next trip there.
Disliked: Couldn’t really get any WiFi where we were, but honestly we never can anywhere we go, it’s just the way it is. We were able to get a great tv signal though which was great.
