Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked We had a fantastic stay at Wheathill Campsite and would highly recommend it, especially for families and dog owners.
The site is spacious and well laid out, giving kids plenty of room to play safely without feeling on top of other campers. It’s a really relaxed, friendly atmosphere where families can properly unwind.
It’s also very dog-friendly, which made a big difference for us. There’s plenty of space for walks and exploring, and it’s clear dogs are genuinely welcomed rather than just tolerated.
The facilities were clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. You can tell the owners take real pride in the site.
The hosts were lovely and friendly, helpful, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.
Overall, a brilliant campsite for a stress-free family break with dogs. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We stayed at the nest cabin…
The Nest cabin (pet friendly)
Liked We stayed at the nest cabin in February and it was cosey and lovely. The cabin was clean and tidy. The decorations around the cabin made it seem more homely. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. The hosts were very accommodating, patient, and keen to help. They were very responsive to our questions and queries. I would highly recommend this place to people. My partner fished at the lake and was very impressed with his catches. Thank you for giving us a wonderful time!

Lovely peaceful site with great views
Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked Nice peaceful site with lovely views. Hardstanding pitches all have nice views looking towards countryside. 2 clean unisex toilets and 2 showers. There is a pub and bus stops with buses to Ipswich according to google maps nearby but we didn't use either this time and just enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing weekend but will visit again in Spring/Summer.
Disliked Toilets and showers were freezing as unfortunately there doesn't appear to be any heating in there which is a real shame given that the owners went to the effort to put electric on the pitches. My fault entirely for assuming they would be heated as site is open over winter. Just something to be aware of but would definitely visit again just in warmer weather.

From the manager: Thankyou for your lovely review, great to hear that you had a peaceful stay.
Heating in the facilities are on our to do list, we currently have a limited electric supply so looking into this.
Look forward to welcoming you back in spring/summer.
