What customers say
This campsite receives overwhelmingly positive feedback for its friendly and helpful owners, beautiful natural surroundings, and excellent facilities. Visitors frequently highlight the cleanliness of the showers and toilets, the well-equipped communal kitchen area, and the convenience of the on-site shop. The location is praised for its peaceful atmosphere and direct access to numerous walks, making it ideal for nature lovers and dog owners. While most guests have no complaints, one review from July 2026 noted significant overcrowding and a lack of cleaning during a busy period, which contrasted with the usual high standards. The site offers flexible pitching options in various areas, including open fields and wooded spots, contributing to a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

A great camp in a beauitful location x
Electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked We loved this campsite, one of the best we have stayed. Very helpful, love the small shop on site. Toilets and showers are very clean. The owner is on site, if anything is needed. We had a lovely walk around the site, great for kids, if u want them off the tablet lol. We borrow a couple bikes and rode out to Eye. Great for walks. Nice pub down the road. We are coming back next year for a few stays and bringing family.
Disliked There was nothing to dislike. We only suggest a few lights in places, when walking around at night & welcome board with info on hiring fire pits etc as didn't want to keep bothering the owner.

My husband and I stayed for…
Electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked My husband and I stayed for 3 nights. We had a lovely pitch with electric. The showers and toilets were very clean with hot water from the showers and sink taps. I loved the little touches like hand wash at each sink and at the kitchen sinks there was washing liquid, sponges and tea towels. We borrowed a fire pit and bought wood from the little shop and sat out in the evening with a cosy fire. Also there was a lovely walk from the campsite to Thornham Walks park which is also a must visit. Highly recommend this campsite for a peaceful few nights escape. Shout out to Jess who was very accommodating and helpful.

Electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Everything! Clean facilities, showers and toilets were of a very high standard as were the shared washing up and cooking areas. The best thing was the nature and the walks, one stay was not enough so I plan to return soon.

Everything about this campsite is lovely!…
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Everything about this campsite is lovely! It's a beautiful space with loads of options to pitch up, the shared facilities are a really nice addition. Everything was clean and well maintained. I only stayed for 1 night sadly, wish I could have stayed for longer and hope to return soon!
Disliked If I was being really fussy, it would have been great if the showers had temperature control as it was a hot day and I was keen for a cold shower, but this is the only thing I could critique.
