Ryeland is a caravan and camping site located between Lakenheath and Beck Row in Suffolk.

The campsite is situated on a rural back road, which is part of a 14 acre property that once was flat, bare ground.

Mr and Mrs R Newman have spent many years building and planting trees and plant life on the land.

Although Ryeland is set more in farming land area you only have to go for a 10 minute drive and you have Mildenhall and Lakenheath or further afield you can reach Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge and even Norwich.

From the A11 at Barton Mills, take the A1101 towards Mildenhall, go straight over the mini roundabout, straight across at the traffic lights and turn right at the next roundabout following the A1101.

Go straight over two mini roundabouts with the Esso garage on your left. At the next roundabout turn left staying on the A1101 towards Beck Row, Mildenhall airbase will be on your left handside.

When you enter the 30 mph zone in Beck Row village you will pass a garage and a public house and shortly after you will see a sign on your right for Wilde Street, turn right here. Follow this road out of the village for about 3 miles until you see the entrance to Ryeland Farm campsite. You shouldn't miss us as we have a large aeroplane just inside the driveway!

Wild Tracks off-road activity park offers a range of activities from quad biking, archery and off-road 4x4 courses, you can go karting at Red Lodge Karting or do some birdwatching at RSPB reserves.

The two military bases RAF Mildenhall and RAF Lakenheath nearby to Ryeland Farm and local festivals include BikerFest for biking enthusiasts, Nest Fest and Scarecrow Fest in Barton Mills.

Additional terms

No discounts/refunds for late arrivals/early departure except in the case of illness or death (doctor's letter required).

The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

28 nights consecutive stay maximum.

Guests must respect our recycling policy.

Your children are your responsibility at all times. Any damage/injury caused by your children is your responsibility.

Dogs must be kept under control and all fouling must be cleaned up. Any damage/injury caused by your dog is your responsibility.

Shower and toilet facilities must be kept clean.

We provide an Elsan tank for your waste, please wash down any over spill.

The gate will be locked at 10pm each night. Vehicles entering after 10pm must park in the parking area provided.

Cars must be left in the car park for any departures before 7am.

£10 deposit is required for the gate key, refundable upon return. The entrance gate must remain closed. Guests must use the key to lock the gate on departure/entry after 5pm. always please shut the gate behind you when leaving or on entering site.

Vehicle movement onsite is limited to campsite entry and departure.

Guests are asked to avoid any noise or nuisance that may disturb other clients. Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly. Engines and headlights must be turned off when vehicles are parked.

You must keep the pitch area you are staying on clean and tidy, no rubbish is to be kept outside your unit.

The campsite is responsible for safety of electric hook-up to the socket on the hook-up point at the pitch. Campers are responsible for safety of plug cable and associated sockets between the hook-up points to the camping unit. Keep children away from electric hook-ups and cables. Campers must use an orange coloured lead for hook-ups. Leads must be completely un-reeled.

The campsite accepts no responsibility for any accident/loss from the use of of unsuitable/unsafe electrical appliances.

The campsite shall not be responsible for your personal belongings.

The establishment is not liable for any damages to guests’ equipment.

Extra cars can be brought free of charge but will need to be parked on the car park.
