What customers say
This small, rural campsite offers a quiet escape with level pitches, clean and functional facilities, and friendly, helpful owners. Many appreciate the on-site accessories shop and proximity to dog walks and amenities. Plane spotting opportunities are a highlight for some. While generally praised for cleanliness and atmosphere, a few reviewers noted a limited number of unisex showers/toilets and issues with site signage and initial check-in.

Not clean
Electric grass and earth pitch
Liked Country location. Flat pitches. Pub (Judes Ferry) up the road (8 mins walk) had bad reviews online but we went and were pleasantly surprised. Food was nice and friendly atmosphere.
Disliked Ingrained dirt & rubbish overflowing the bins. Weird note about having to get rid of own rubbish due to previous tennants misuse, we got the punishment for it on arrival. Then the next note says cleanliness is next to godliness yet that was in the toilet/ shower room which was filthy. The water tap on our pitch was on the back of a post under a low tree meaning when it rained you got wet getting water plus had to hug the post to even get to the tap, not ideal for anyone with mobility problems. The electric was on the same post pointing outwards. This needed to be the other way around as electric you'll input and pull out once each time but water you collect daily. Noise from the road behind the hedge by cars and walkers, for a country small road it was noisy and in regular use. Unless we missed a sign to a footpath the local shop was drive only as too far to walk. This is only the 2nd ever site I've added dislike comments on pitchup. We've been on basic sites before but the minimum you expect is cleanliness. We left after 2 nights, had paid for 5 nights.

From the manager: I am sorry you did not find New Park farm to a clean enough standard, I was working away last week so could not be there to oversee things. As you will see from other reviews this is not the usual case . However I do apologise.
The campsite is situated on a single track road with allotments opposite and minimal houses further down the lane .
I have since added another bottle bin to cope with the glass from the weekend guests.

Electric grass and earth pitch
Liked Nice level pitches with easy access for touring caravan. Toilet and showers clean. Took the car down to the river which wasn’t an issue. Pub only 10 mins paddle away. Would use this site again

OK at best, but nothing special.
Electric grass and earth pitch
Liked Quiet location - although not particularly well signposted and satnav address takes you to the place next door.
Disliked Only 2 unisex toilets and 2 unisex showers for the whole place, both basically built into garden sheds and with plenty of cobwebs around.
No water at the actual camping field. You have to go get it at the shower and toilet sheds where there is a single standpipe. Not too bad for us as it was quiet when we visited, but if it was busy, it would be a bit of a nightmare.

From the manager: I’m sorry you seem to have missed all the drinking water taps at each set of trees , so that would make 4 taps on the right and another 4 on the left as well as at the outside washing up area . TBH most people use a waterline and have constant water which is possible here with all 9 taps to 8 pitches .
Very friendly and clean
Electric grass and earth pitch
Liked The showers & toilets were really good, with washing machine & tumble driers in both. There is an interesting caravan accessories shop on-site, that is open most days. We had some beautiful walks with our dog too & the site is very quiet; great for r & r.
Disliked If, like us, your fur baby is not "other dog" friendly it could be problematic, as you may come across 5 dogs, off lead, to be able to walk out of the park and enjoy the countryside.

Ok for a stopover, close to Bury st Edmond’s
Electric grass and earth pitch
Liked Site was very clean, showers are in converted sheds but functioned fine, some resident caravans on there but all very friendly
Disliked Site name didn’t match name on pitch up making it hard to be sure you were in the right place.
When we arrived there was no one there to great us

A great little site.
Electric grass and earth pitch
Liked Nice size pitch, very helpful and friendly people. Clean and roomy shower and toilet facilities, although there are only two so you sometimes have to wait if the site is busy.
Booked thinking it was closer to Bury St Edmunds as that is what it came under but in reality it's closer to Newmarket. Not that this was a disappointment just a bit further than expected.
Disliked The elsan emptying facility doesn't have a hose, which makes it more tricky to rinse and clean, but that's just being a bit picky. 🤣

From the manager: Thank you for your review,
With regard to the Elsan point- we had a hose in place at the elsan point but were made to remove it by Anglia water as there's a risk of contamination with the hose being put into waste tanks - there rules not ours .
Loved this site and would return
